The story continues in this book and we get to know more of Xie Lian's past. It gets really sad and heartbreaking but explains a lot of things in the present and adds a lot of depth to the story and his character. I really felt like I was experiencing everything myself and felt everything Xie Lian did during the flashback. It goes back to the present after and Xie Lian's relationship with Hua Cheng progresses more and there's some really cute and sweet moments. I highly recommend this book, it's an amazing story ❤

I absolutely adore every character. There are serious, dark and gory parts but eloquently followed with comedic relief. There are layers to every plot and even when you think you have it figured out... BOOM, there's more. Within the main arch there are a few other stories happening, which makes for quite an adventurous love story.

I LOVE this novel so much, I've only read 2 and 3 (I watched the donghua for the sum of 1). It has some moments that are really funny, much of an emotional rollercoaster! To the shipping, my only real complaint is that when I got it, the cover had a bent on the bottom left edge. Nothing too serious, all in all, I suggest this book to anyone honestly!

I am quickly falling in love with this series because the writer is absolutely amazing, the story has so much depth and beauty to it and it’s just perfect. I got this book today and I’m already half way through. The book came is perfect quality and the art is BEAUTIFUL. 100% would recommend to anyone that likes this style of story.
