I'm not usually one to be loyal to name-brand products but years ago I did get tired of tall kitchen bags that break when taking my garbage out to the dumpster--and these Hefty bags don't do that. They also cinch closed easily. The quality is very consistent and they are very practical. For years now, this is what I use and re-order. Although with this 80 pack I won't have to re-order for quite some time and I like that very much. It's really amazing how a pleasant scent can make you like a product significantly more and Hefty has been doing a good job of exploiting that fact for years. I've used a lot of their "citrus twist" scented ultra-strong kitchen bags and I really enjoy that scent. I don't like this watermelon scent quite as much so far but I like variety and it is pleasant like watermelon candy. It's reasonably strong but not overpowering. I only ever notice the scent when I'm getting a new bag out and installing it in my trash can, but it's oddly rewarding. I'll probably alternate this and citrus twist, since I still have lots of those left. By no means do trash bags need to be scented, they really just need to NOT BREAK, but I appreciate that Hefty bags smell lovely and also don't break. For some reason the cost of Hefty Ultra Strong Tall Kitchen Bags varies significantly for the different scents and while some people probably do enjoy Hefty trash bag scents enough to order Watermelon Fabuloso bags for the novelty (or because they like the watermelon scented Fabuloso cleaning product), thrifty people may want to consider that they all do smell pretty nice and it might make sense to compare prices and try a less expensive scent.

The quality of the bags is really great. I've filled them up completely, even with sharp objects like broken glass, and it doesn't rip. The drawstrings on the garbage bags are also strong as they haven't ripped apart from the rest of the bag. The odor control works really well. We usually wait about 2-3 days for the bags to get full, before throwing them out, and the odors from organic material doesn't leak to the rest of the kitchen. However, I would say that after the end of the 3rd day, the effectiveness of the odor control doesn't work as efficiently anymore. It's not a big deal, it's still very effective. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the bags. They're strong and resistant to tears and the odor control works great. The watermelon scent is a bit strong if I'm within a foot of the garbage bag, but the smell doesn't travel far or fill up the room it's in.

The bags and the drawstring are both very tough and durable. I haven't had any issues with leakage or tearing. The watermelon scent is a bonus. It's not an overwhelming fragrance, just a hint of fragrance that I notice most when putting in or taking out the bag. It's not as cloying as some diaper pail liner fragrances can be in scent. The plastic is a bit thicker than other trash can liners I've used which seems to make it sturdier. This Mega Pack gives you 80 bags of great quality trash bags at a good value. I'd recommend these bags.

These bags are a little thicker than the usual ones at .9MIL, which actually helps when packing down trash. Cardboard didn’t rip through the sides, which is nice. The scent is good. Just like watermelon candy. Kind of weird coming off a trash bag. It’s noticeable without being too much, and does help keep the smell down in general. They hold up well, even with heavier loads. No tearing, and they handled everything from regular trash to old junk just fine. The only downside is the ties—they felt a little thin, and I had to be careful not to pull too hard when closing the bag, or to avoid having too much weight in the bag, or to lift by the ties and risk the ties tearing. Overall, they do the job and smell better than the usual options. I’d get them again.

I have almost always used hefty bags because they are so good at giving at bit and resisting tears/holes. These appear to be the same quality as I am used to just in a new, interesting and strong, scent. They fit my can perfectly and the box has plenty to last a while.

I think we all know that Hefty makes good-quality trash bags. These are the correct size for my stainless steel pedal trash can that we use in our kitchen. Nothing new or interesting there. They smell AMAZING, though. The watermelon Fabuloso scent is really the only unique thing about these trash bags, and it's fire. I don't think I've ever gotten a scented trash bag that I actually liked the smell of before. I don't know how the scent will hold up against stinky contents, yet, and I don't really expect it to mask really terrible stenches, but it smells straight up edible new out of the box.

These bags have a classic artificial watermelon scent. I appreciate that it is not too strong, but still helps with the trash smell. The bags are nice quality and I recommend these if you enjoy watermelon scent.

The Hefty Ultra Strong draw-string trash bags are my favorite. They are the perfect size for my tall kitchen trash can, they are strong and good at resisting tears, and the draw string is great for easily cinching and tying the bags closed. The Watermelon scent helps freshen up the trash without being overwhelming. It is fun that they are making these bags in different scents. I have also tried the Hefty bags in their Fabuloso Lemon scent, and my preference is the Lemon, but they are both good.
