I have always hated doing dishes and just moved to a place with no dishwasher. My last house had a full size dishwasher and I loved it. In the past I had a bigger countertop dishwasher that hooked up to the sink, it was bigger than this one by about 4-5 inches but would not fit my 10.5 in plates. I am now on load 2 of quick washing dishes I had while waiting for this dishwasher to arrive! I have an RO system that I have to dump the waste water out manually. I try to collect and use the “waste water” for cooking, cleaning, and now I can use it with this dishwasher!! I read other reviews and took some suggestions. I am manually adding my water to the top but I turn it on and select what cycle I will be running. Dishes and soap need to be in the machine before loading the water with the door shut because once it has enough water it will ding at you if you do it this way. Then the machine will start running the cycle you have chosen. I need to order what someone else suggested for hard water. I forgot what it’s called so I have to go back as I am on well water and my bathroom is where my water softener reaches not the kitchen tap. The drain hose is not very long but it does work very well. Easy to attach. I loved a comment someone made here about how it does not pull a lot of power and is good for off grid living. As I am not living off grid that is one of my goals so I am trying to be mindful of what I purchase to be able to take with me whenever I can live off grid. The fact that it doesn’t have to occupy your kitchen faucet is huge! Also that if you’re having drain issues or whatever you can drain this into a bucket while washing dishes and dump where and when you can. Just make sure you’re plugging this into a grounded outlet for better safety. I looked up online which outlet would allow this type of energy/electric draw. Although it will not fit everything in it I used to wash in my full sized dishwasher I can still wash a majority of my dishes in this. My butter knives to not fit in the provided silverware basket. But it’s nice it offers an option to clean silverware in the foldable spot. It was packaged very nicely Amazon had a delay for my delivery which sucked because I started having issues with drains at my house the day after this was supposed to arrive. During my first load of washing a quick cycle I was able to prep more of my RO water for a 3 gallon jug I put it in at home. Clear my counters, put some clean dishes away. I am not using the drying option at the moment but may have to or just wipe out the machine and leave the door cracked open in between uses. I’m just going to take my wet dishes out and put them on a dish strainer to air dry. This way I can get more done in a shorter time frame vs an hour or so drying time added on. My 2nd cycle just finished as I’m typing this out and my first load air drying is basically all dry already all in the matter of 30min Will update more if I have any changes. It’s not super heavy, I was able to carry it safely through the house outside of the box. My old counter top dishwasher was a lot heavier than this. It looks great and shiny! I got the one with no glass on the door. I don’t need to watch my wash cycles. It is not very loud. The sprayers inside are smaller than I expected but seem to work great! The top sprayer in smaller than the bottom one, so they are not the same size. The suction cup seems to be working to keep my drain in place hopefully it does not break off from the hose. The only down side was the blue tape inside to hold everything in for shipping. I had to use a pocket knife to get the connected blue tape off the dish basket. Do as you wish or think on what will help you best for your situation. I’m glad they make something like this and I hope some day soon they can make the bigger portable dishwashers like this with the manually adding water option. That would be a huge game changer to anyone in need but limited options for hook ups and able to wash more at one time.

Small but mighty! I’ve had this dishwasher for 2 weeks now. I wanted to use it before reviewing it. I am thoroughly impressed with this little guy. It cleans really well, and I’m not great about rinsing dishes. The dry feature works well also. It’s quiet. I don’t have mine hooked to water or a drain. I fill the water compartment and the drain hose is secured to a 5 gallon bucket. That’s it! Easy pease, absolutely no hookup! It holds 4 glasses, 4 plates, a couple of small bowls- even a spatula or two if you load it well- all those years of Tetris will come in handy! I’ve purposely overloaded it and things still came out clean. I don’t do reviews but this one needed to be shared.

Click to play video Only a couple weeks into having this and I can’t believe I didn’t think of a countertop dishwasher before now! This machine is great! We just hosted a giant Thanksgiving dinner for family and this machine did wonderfully. If you’re thinking about getting a countertop, do it. You won’t regret it! We got a countertop dishwasher because we rent and I really didn’t want to spend money on a rolling dishwasher that could take up more space, and frankly, they typically have poorer reviews overall. It’s not large but it fits enough for daily loads for our family of 3. For Thanksgiving, we had many more people and it was so nice to load it while cooking and running it so that after dinner we had an easy clean up of what dishes we used to eat and drink. My Corelle dinner plates that I’ve owned for years fit perfectly in it along with many other things. Its small size also helps with counter space so we still have room to prep food, set out plates, etc. Because I simply don’t want to deal with a hose, we use the water tank option, which is convenient and opens up our sink for additional use. Set up was easy. Because of other reviews, I made sure the drain hose was facing downward in the sink basin next to it and just put our drying rack right over it to ensue it stays down for draining. Drains very well doing that! The heat drying feature works well and I really like the fact that it circulates fresh air for up to 73 hours afterwards. I’ve seen a few reviews about the smell of the dishwasher but I always use a tiny bit of vinegar in every load (along with a dishwasher pod), so I think it helps with the smell that can develop with plastic interiors. We also have fairly hard water so the vinegar (poured into the dishwasher, not the water tank) helps with that issue. Don’t use rinse aid in this dishwasher, unless you get a small rinse aid rack. With the small size, white vinegar is a better option since rinse aid is still a surfactant.

5 Stars - Excellent little dishwasher, perfect for small spaces! I am very happy with the Hermitlux mini dishwasher! It’s compact, easy to set up, and works surprisingly well for its size. It cleans dishes, glasses, and cutlery perfectly, and the different wash settings are very useful. It’s quiet, efficient, and saves a lot of time, especially for a smaller household. Perfect for anyone with limited space or who doesn’t want a full-size dishwasher. Great value for money — highly recommend!
