This TV arrived quickly via UPS in good condition. It’s boxer in the rear for the sound system speakers and looks the same in the front with the Hisense logo centered at the bottom this time around. The inputs are recessed from the outer edge, making it difficult to get to them after wall mounting. However, none are facing back this time around. All are facing toward the outer edge. Out of the box, there was the typical Google TV setup followed by one system update (P0205 to P0415) and 2 remote updates. There are only 3 HDMI inputs this time around, but they are ALL 4K/165Hz though. It seems to be running Android 14 (from 12) with a much later build and security patch level. Google TV seems to be about the same or slightly snapper than the U8N. Storage still 20GB (minus system use, formatting, etc.) Within all the TV menus, there are additional settings added, some moved and others re-arranged compared to the U8N. One I like is a speed test within the Network & Internet settings for example. There is a Quick Tab Tools option on the bottom menu that I think is new, etc. With this TV, I’m just connecting gaming consoles via HDMI (Xbox, PlayStation & Switch 2 one day) and an HDTV antenna for one local channel for storm updates. I’m NOT using WIFI, eARC, PC connection, Fire TV Cube, Apple TV, etc. I hope to try the USB-C input on the side at some point as a display input. First impressions of image quality: little to no vignetting in the corners (way less than the U8N); less Blooming thanks to the additional zones and tech; SDR and all HDR looked great to me with little to no setting changes. Gradients look fine for an 8-Bit FRC display. Motion smoothing is great, but I still personally prefer it off. Motion overall seems on par with the U8N: again, with no setting changes. As such, I must note that there are more image settings (especially Intelligent and AI) than the U8N. Console gaming wise, everything is great in every mode (all Xbox and PlayStation resolutions, refresh rates, etc. are fully supported). I still really like the Game Bar just like U8N. This time around there are themes that can be set to automatically change for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. The 4.1.2 sound is OK. I don’t use soundbars, but I think anyone who does will continue to do so with the TV – or use a surround sound system. I’m still experimenting with the sound settings. I do use the room acoustics setting like on the U8N by using the remote’s mic. More sound options than the U8N and certainly a different sound right out of the box.

Purchased the TV for my entertainment room, I am pretty satisfied with the performance and quality after running it almost every day for weeks now. It's perfect size for my little room as a gaming monitor and a TV as well. The streaming capability is better than I expected. Great picture quality and great brightness. The games runs pretty smoothly with the 165hz setting. The remote is easy and simple to operate. The TV is pretty sturdy for the price range. Overall,it's a great investment and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This TV completely exceeded our expectations. The picture quality is absolutely incredible... bright, vibrant colors with deep blacks and very impressive contrast. We can finally actually watch those dark shows. The motion is super smooth, just in time for the NHL playoffs, hockey never looked better in my living room. The Google TV interface has been very easy to use. And the built-in sound has blown us away. For the the price that we paid, this TV has delivered premium performance, much better more expensive models I've purchased. Very happy with the purchase. We highly recommend it.

The Hisense U8G series stands out as a top-tier 4K ULED TV, delivering exceptional picture and quality. With our old tv dark scenes were very difficult to view with or without the lights on but with this TV we can see more detail. The sound is clear and we feel we don’t need an extra sound bar. The Hisense U8G series combines outstanding picture quality, commendable sound performance, and smart features at a competitive price point.

I saw good reviews on this Hisense TV, but I have to say that the quality and picture are significantly better than I anticipated. Although it was more expensive than other 55" TV's, the Google user interface, the rich color tones and deep black images are fantastic. I especially like the high motion capabilities perfect for my son's Xbox games and watching sports. Would definitely recommend this TV.

Too bad that 75” Hisense tvs still don’t have VA panel in 2025 models. I will have to buy something else

Big big enough for a bedroom or studuio! Quality TV! I bought it because I was moving to my studio, not too much space to put a super big size, this one 50 inch is perfect for me! As a fire Tv fan, I can easily get whatever applications on the Tv! Highly recommend!

This TV is really awesome! The picture is very clear and bright. Dark scenes look deep and bright ones stand out without any glare on the screen. The sound is great too. It feels like being in a real theater — the sound comes from all around and even from above. The picture is smooth with no delays. You can easily change game settings with the remote. It adjusts the picture and sound automatically depending on what you watch. The screen doesn’t reflect light, the colors are bright and vivid and it supports all modern HDR formats. With Google TV it’s easy to find what to watch. I highly recommend it.
