I got this LED strip as a test as I did not have a specific project for it and never tried a color-changing RGB strip. This kit comes with everything you need to set it up. Inside the box is the black LED strip, a 12 volt DC power supply, Mini RF controller, remote control with a CR2025 battery installed, strip coupler to add another strip, adhesive-backed mounting tape for mounting the strip connector and RF controller, and instruction booklet. My kit also came with a magnetic bookmark as a bonus. The instruction booklet is easy to follow for installation and operation. Installation is quite easy: Just attach the strip, connect the RF controller, connect the power supply and plug it in! That's it! Remote is already paired to the RF controller. The instruction booklet also has instructions on how to pair the remote if needed or if you get more then one strip and want to run them from a single remote. There are also operational instructions for changing colors, changing brightness, and setting color-changing sequences and speeds. Note: colors are limited to the 12 listed on the remote. The adhesive on the strip is not super sticky so it can be repositioned if needed. Make sure that your surface is well cleaned and free from oil to make sure the adhesive will stick. The strip is 32.8 feet long (10 meters) by 1/2" wide and uses 1 watt per foot. There are 9 LEDs per foot spaced about 1 1/4" apart. The strip is non-waterproof and black in color for better concealability. The strip can also be cut every 4" at marked cut marks. The power supply is rated for 36 watts max so it will only run 36' of this strip, if you need to run more then you will need a larger power supply. Overall this is a nice, easy to install, and easy to use LED strip. It took me less than 5 minutes to take it out of the box and run it through its paces. The light is not overly bright and would be good for ambiance light for watching movies or having a party. For task lighting, I would recommend a double density strip.

Click to play video I loved them they are super easy to installed once adhered to the wall at the beginning you can roll them on the wall and take the baking plastic off at the same time. The sticky back sticks pretty good I would just add a pice of double sided tape the 3m at the end where the adapter is, because it would be heavy and it will unstick. The light needs to be off the rod like the instructions said and turned on until they are installed or unwained from the rod. I did see other reviews with the string light turned on on the rod but I did the the same and mines did not turned on until installed. The lights are super bright dimmest is not sooo dimmed but I like them because it makes the area look nice and cozy. Loved that you have controlled over the speed and the brightens which is great, you can literally just have those in the brightes and be like having your light bulb on for your room. They are flexible if you get to install them on corners but do not bend. The string lights really make any area a bit funnier and great talking topic. The photos I took them on the dimmest except the last one with the orange light that is on the brightest.

These lights are perfect! This was the 3rd set of lights we tried, others were faulty or white and these are black and work perfectly. Colors are great, easy to use, the length was exactly what we needed. It was easy to connect and start using.

the lights worked really well, it added a very nice effect. it also comes with different modes. i’m just very disappointed with the remote. after a couple months, none of the colors on the remote coordinated with the colors on the lights. then the remote would only let me pick one color and now the remote won’t even turn the lights on. it is very frustrating. useless now. i would purchase a different set of lights. The adhesion was also horrible, they kept falling down and i ensue up having to purchase thumbtacks to keep them in place. UPDATE- i contacted customer services and they fixed the remote problem.

I purchased several sets of LED lights and was dissatisfied with all of them until I found this set. All the others were thin and broke easily. This set is high quality and solid. I also like the RF remote, meaning, I don't have to have line of site and aim the remote directly at the power pack. I can hide the lights and power pack and operate the remote from anywhere within the room. The phone app is another great feature. I am glad that I finally found a great set of LED lights and wish I would have found this set earlier.

THESE LIGHTS DO NOT WORK! Do not buy them. First of all, right when I set them up I tried to turn them on and the remote was broke. I had to hit the on button on the remote several times before anything happened. I figured it was just this remote and they could just ship me a new remote. So I sent an email to this company and I got a response within a few days. They said that they would ship a new remote and it was getting ready to be sent to me. That was back in January. It is now may and I still have not received my remote. Also, When I want to turn the lights off before I go to bed they turn back on even after I have turned them off in the middle of the night. thanks for the higher electric bill, highlights! finally, the adhesive lights began to fall off my wall within three days. I cleaned the surface they would stick to just like the instruction manual told me, but they still didn't stick. All in all, this company's lights tell me a lot about them, unreliable and not worth the money.

This is the only light strip I buy. It's perfect size and is the only black strip on Amazon. For the back of the TV white looks horrible. It has a slim plug without unnecessary bulky power supply. This is the only acceptable one and I've tried lot. Get this one. Hopefully they don't stop making it.

The RGB wires on these lights are in a different order than with other brands, making them incompatible. When I connect these to my existing WiFi controller, all colors are mixed up (green is blue, orange is purple, etc.). If you’re trying to add to an existing system, it these strips will be a different color.
