This book is amazing, particularly for anyone struggling with events of the day around the nation and world. Bishop Budde guides us to be courageous through our beliefs and rely on faith more to help us through troubled times. She is thoughtful and very reader friendly.

I read this book after watching Bishop Budde's inspiring and brave sermon as part of the inauguration ceremonies. I was so impressed with her calm plea for mercy for those who are afraid. Reading the book just confirmed what I suspected--she is a true follower of Jesus in the best sense of that word. She knows the source of her power and rests in it, looking inward when she makes mistakes and seeking to create connection with those who don't agree with her. I am grateful for her spiritual leadership which is needed by our country more than ever. If I'm ever in Washington DC, I would be honored to hear her in person. Thank you, Bishop Budde. Bishop Buddy has written a beautiful book with a message that will bring peace and joy to your life unless you created misguided filters of ignorance and hate that prevent this. And regarding comments about a woman in a leadership role in the church: Who do you think decided women should not be leaders in the church? Mortal men, NOT the benevolent Lord Jesus.

We should all be brave to stand up for others. That is bravery in the truest form. Sheep follow mindlessly to those they fear the most blindly.

This wonderful book grabbed me and inspired me from the very first page! She is truly a strong voice in a very frightening time and place! She has been placed here for such a time as this! We all must find our “brave” and speak truth to power and to the ill-informed!

I googled Bishop Budde after hearing her sermon. When I learned she had written a book on learning how to be brave my heart was filled with gladness with the instant understanding that God has been preparing her for this moment for many years. Bishop Budde shares her faith journey and lessons she has learned that prepared her to speak truth to the President of the United States in a spirit of humility and love. The book reads as if she is speaking to the reader with this same beautiful spirit. I hope the book sales will reflect appreciation for her bravery in such a time as this. Thank you Bishop Budde.
