Sound quality is indifferent to the predecessor, however the design is much nicer and has some additional features. I don't find these features at all useful because they'd likely work best with their headphones and it being plugged into the mic(as you can adjust headset volume from there). I found it most inconvenient trying to flip the mic around to my liking like the previous version so I kept it as how it came. I do like how the microphone displays sensitivity, and that the only interactive thing besides the mute sensor is the scroll-adjuster that can switch you audios intake/switch between your headset/mic volume. I don't think this mic is relatively worth 200 bucks, but i kind of had to buy this as my previous version's wire got hyper sensitive and disconnect upon the slightest inconvenience. This would waste like a good 10 seconds of my time as it froze my screen and had my clients prefer my headphone's audio even tho i detatched the mic like a long time ago. I'd strongly recommend this microphone during sales, if you like rgb, and can afford it without having your financial situation worsened. I do like this microphone, and would 100% recommend it to people if it was $100-$150 and had other notable features compared to the older version. If you were to pick either the S1 or the S2 I'd suggest the S2 over the S1 simply because I found this microphone more compact and less exposed to anything that could potentially hamper the product. Don't buy this if you simply just want a microphone and don't intend to use it besides for talking, this microphone isn't the luxury brand of microphones but it's certainly one that should be treated as well as a car.

The HyperX QuadCast 2 S is an impressive microphone, both in design and performance, but it comes with a hefty price tag that may give some pause. After spending some time with it, here's what stood out: Setup and Design: Straight out of the box, the QuadCast S 2 feels like a premium product. The setup process was generally straightforward, and I had it ready to use within minutes. The included shock mount and stand were nice touches, making it a plug-and-play solution for most users. The standout feature is the customizable RGB lighting. It’s vibrant, modern, and adds a cool aesthetic to any streaming or recording setup. However, customizing the lighting through the software (HyperX NGENUITY) was a mixed bag. Software Challenges: While the hardware is stellar, the software leaves much to be desired. Adjusting lighting and mic sound controls via the app was frustrating at times. Some settings just didn’t apply no matter how many tweaks I made, and the interface could use a clearer layout for better usability. For such an expensive mic, I expected a more polished experience. Performance: In terms of sound quality, this microphone is excellent. The QuadCast 2 S offers clear, crisp audio with plenty of options to tailor it to your needs (four polar patterns, gain control, etc.). Whether you’re streaming, podcasting, or recording voiceovers, it captures a professional-level sound with minimal effort. Is It Worth It?: This is undeniably a high-quality microphone, but it’s also one of the pricier options on the market. If you have the extra money to spend, it’s a great choice, especially for its audio clarity and aesthetic appeal. That said, if budget is a concern, there are other mics that deliver solid performance at a lower price point—just without the bells and whistles.

No need for extra attachments – the integrated pop filter works like a charm, eliminating plosive sounds effortlessly. Tap-to-Mute Sensor: The mute function is super responsive and the LED indicator ensures I never accidentally stay muted. Multiple Pickup Patterns: Whether I’m streaming solo, doing a podcast, or having a group chat, the cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional, and stereo modes cover all scenarios. Setup & Compatibility It was ridiculously easy to set up. Just plug it in, and it’s ready to go. It’s compatible with PC, PS5, and even works with popular streaming software like OBS and Discord. Das HyperX QuadCast S2 ist nicht nur ein absolut hochwertiges Mikrofon mit starker Klangqualität, es sieht mit den RGB-Effekten auch noch richtig nice aus. Im Discord Call mit meinen Freunden bin ich laut denen jetzt Offiziell die mit dem besten Mikrofon haha Egal ob für Streaming, Discord oder Voiceover, das Teil liefert cleanen, klaren Sound & ist super easy einzurichten. Wer ein zuverlässiges Mikro mit Style sucht: Klare Empfehlung! Ich nutze es zusammen mit dem Byerdynamic DT770 - 80 Ohm & finde, das ist wirklich die Perfekte Kombo.

Click to play video I bought this as an upgrade to the HyperX QuadCast S which I have been using since 2022. It has a wider range of colour patterns to choose from if you install the HyperX Ngenuity app which is available for download from the manufacturer and via whichever app store you use. All functions you would need are accessible on the mic itself, ie gain control etc Like its predecessor, the build quality is excellent and it is even better for depth and quality of voice recording and transmission. I have mine installed on the OEM mic arm inverted, so the mute is at the bottom rather than the top, personal preference but it looks great and is easy to use like that. If you're happy with the default rainbow pattern, it's a quick install and you just need to select the mic on your computer settings. Size-wise it's a bit longer than the predecessor but is still neat and tidy looking. Comes with a desktop stand if you prefer that so can be used straight out of the box. Great features in the app so you can set defaults for different scenarios.
