This icemaker is for my Mom. She has a very small top freezer in her apartment, but loves ice water. She has no room for ice cube trays . This is perfect!!!! I like it so much, I just might have to save my change, and buy one for myself. The buttons, to operate the icemaker, are on the FRONT of the machine........NOT the TOP. SO MUCH EASIER to use the buttons on the front, then on the top. Great ice maker. My Mom ( 87yr young) loves it too!!!! But i, Makes ice quickly, is quiet, and sure does look good in anyones kitchen or mancave/ she shed. Great item, great price. Thank you, Chris

With a house full of ice enthusiasts and the unfortunate absence of an ice maker in our fridge, we desperately needed a solution to keep up with our ice demands. That's when we discovered this ice maker, which exceeded our expectations. From the moment we plugged it in, we noticed how efficiently it cranks out ice—far quicker than we ever anticipated. The ice produced is abundant and has a clean and refreshing taste, which is crucial for our family gatherings and everyday use. We've made it a point to use filtered water per the manufacturer's instructions, and it's clear that this simple step enhances the ice quality. The machine operates smoothly, running for several hours daily without hiccups. It's impressive how consistently it delivers, almost like clockwork. One of the best features is its compact design, which allows it to fit seamlessly on our counter without taking up too much space. Despite its tiny footprint, it produces a generous quantity of ice, which we store in the freezer for later use. This has been a game changer for us, especially during summer and while hosting gatherings; we never run out of ice! Overall, this ice maker is a much better product than I initially anticipated, and it has proven to be well worth the low cost. It has brought joy to our family, ensuring everyone has ample ice at their disposal, and I can't imagine our kitchen without it now. The convenience and efficiency of this machine have made it an essential part of our daily routine.

Not bad for the price works well, good size ice quality is good, a bit noisy all day though

Bought as a gift and they are very happy with it. As far as people complaining it does not keep the ice cubes frozen this unit is an ice maker not a freezer. The made ice melts gradually and the water is remade into ice again. It cycles the ice making once every few hours maybe?

I bought this for my daughter to have in her room to fill her Stanley cup, it's perfect the whole family is now sneaking in her room to grab some ice, the size and quality of ice is perfect. The machine itself is easy to figure out and use, had a low noise level that doesn't bother her.

I saw this ice maker on my Vine during a late-summer heat wave, otherwise I might not have looked at it. I'm really glad I did, it got to me very quickly so I was able to put it to use for myself and the dog (Husky) in time for days of 100+ temps. After washing the machine as best I could, I set it up and filled to a bit below the max fill line. I didn't weigh the ice that came out, but it gave me more than I expected. (I'll estimate it was a couple/few pounds - no more than 4, I'd think.) I emptied it often, as the first several "loads" were really wet and this unit isn't a cooler/ice box. The house was air-conditioned, but only to 79 (and warmer in the kitchen, where the unit is), so I wanted it to get freezer-chilled. I had a bowl I collected them in tucked in the freezer for easy access. This one "batch" from one tank of a Brita pitcher should last me and my dog (Husky) 2 days, so this is really fast and efficient for us. So much better than trays that take up freezer space. I'll make a small bag to keep for the colder months when we're not using as much ice, and can just whip out the machine and make small batches as needed. The unit isn't exactly 'compact,' but it's not nearly as big (or loud) as some others I've seen. (About the size of a bread maker.) Dropped the first 9ish ice bullets under 12 minutes; the entire tank took less than 2ish hours to turn into ice. Very easy/intuitive controls. The 'power' light will blink if it's plugged in and not in use. The instructions weren't super clear to me if the back part was supposed to be washed as well, so I gave the whole thing a good rinse and rinsed again; no taste of anything - plastic or dish soap - came through in the water. I like the shape of the ice, and sometimes it matters, lol, I don't know why. (I don't like half-moon ice, for instance, and love crushed ice.) The little 'bullets' are soft and crunchable, not that I - or anyone in the dental field - would condone chewing ice...but it happens. The only cons are that the handle is rather flimsy, as is the cord that attaches the drain plug to the bottom, and I fear that will break one day and I'll wind up losing the drain plug, so I'll just use with care. As far as the handle, it locks into place on the sides of the unit, but it buckles when the machine is empty, so I wouldn't pick it up when it was full. I don't plan on moving it often, especially when in use, so I'm not concerned. But if you plan to use this for parties/events/etc., just consider that. I still recommend it, just think about if you're ok picking it up. (Or maybe your handle will be sturdier, I didn't see other mentions of the handle so mine could be an outlier.) Purchased through Vine for a discount (9/29/24): $99.99

I bought an ice machine 2 years ago from Amazon. It lasted about 2 years. But I like this one much better. It makes ice much faster and I think it's a little quieter than the other one I had. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Plus I like the gold Stripes LOL
