Wow this is awsome. I had this tv for 20 days and i love every second of it. Im comming from a big giant 19inch box tv that my parent had in 1999 and was passed on to me. Big big big diffrence in color and type of tv. Insignia is a O.k kind of brand.. My cuosins owns a insignia Tv 19inch flat screen. Only last him less then 4yrs. I think thats good enogh for me for a nice name brand.. I went to bestbuy store in my city and they had this tv for sell on sell that day for $179.99 wow what a price. plus I got the geek squad 2yr warranty for $24.99 .. So if anything happens to the tv bestbuy will fix it or replace it within the 2yr warranty. Witch I don't care because after two years I plan on upgrading to a known name brand. So this is Very nice and big lliterly. The color is un believable or maybe its becuse its my first KIND of TV. And then i went to buy the PS3 bundle at gamestop and it was a deal. My new ps3 with HDMi cable connected to this tv looks so real. You can see every detail on the body of the person In the game. Well not only that but it also gets digital Tv anolog over the air antenna. I get 68 channels and thats perfect because I can't afford cable, but wow you can see every single detail on the face of news casters on tv, the news people are very wrinkled and sweaty faces, lol very big flat screen with amazing HD picture and the volume on this is perfect very loud. Tv is very light and when I move around the room I can still see the tv on good color. Some other tv gets there color darken when seen from the rear sides but with this insignia tv there is no problem..

The TV is not at all what it is in the picture. I did not get what I asked for.

I did not buy this TV on Amazon, but still wanted to let people on Amazon know what a great product it is. I originally bought this TV as a temporary replacement of a larger size TV. My expectations were low as it is a somewhat unknown brand. I was going to buy an older model Samsung (was still new in box, but older design) and the sales person recommended this TV, same price but newer design, he told me that I would thank him later, and I am. This has been used in my bedroom as a Media Center/TV/Computer Monitor. It has performed very well, in fact I am writing this review using it as a monitor. It allows very high resolution as a monitor and its 60hz refresh rate is good for up to 60fps before vert sync is needed, it runs HD graphics from games, Youtube, Hulu and similar sites flawlessly. The picture is very bright, and crisp, and can be viewed from almost any angle clearly, making it easy to watch from off angles. The most surprising thing about this inexpensive TV aside from the amazing picture, was the good quality sound system that is provided. I listen to music on it via the PC and it has a very good speaker/sound system, loud enough to be heard from the front door of our 2500sf house from inside the bedroom if the door is open. This set has served me well for almost 2 years now, and while not the greatest tv you can buy, if you are on a budget and this is one of your choices buy with confidence as this product is rock solid, and was recommended to me by a tech at the electronics store I bought it at. (it was the same price as another model I was considering so there was no incentive for him to suggest this model over the other.)

So, I just upgraded my guest room tv. I had a smaller 32 inch tv in the space. This one is too big so I just put it in the shelf at an angle. It is a huge improvement over my old 32 inch tv. That being said, I will say the one thing that bothers me about the set is that the roku remote volume button is right next to the preselected buttons for netflix and other channels. The other models I have bought had them on the side. I have more than once changed the channel because of this design flaw. If they had put braille buttons on the the volume it would not happen. The rest of the remote needed can be used without looking at it, but the volume buttons are very annoying. I have 0 other complaints. its a step up from my old tv. ps. this one is 20 bucks cheaper than i paid in store.

I bought this thing from Best Buy... they had it for $159 and I had $10 in rewards points or whatever. Anyway, I bought this for our 4 year old daughter. She's pretty advanced as far as technology goes, and we wanted her to have a TV in her room but didn't want her having the free range of every cable or Direct TV channel. So, we figured we'd try this out. At first, I was kind of skeptical because I didn't have any experience with Roku, but once I got it setup and online, I found that I can tailor the home screen (which she sees) to only show the channels I want her to see. I have to just trust her that she won't add anything. But, I do not have a payment method setup so she cannot purchase, and even to add a new channel there is a pass code, so it seems safe. After 2 months of use, we are very pleased with the TV and what it does and lets us do as far as content control for her. It's very nice and we couldn't be happier.

I bought this for my daughter, but ended up with it when she found she decided she wanted a wall projector instead. So I have it on my boat on SF Bay for nights I sleep at the marina, and this TV rocks. Yes, it was way less expensive than a major...I have a 32 Panasonic in my mancave at home...but the picture on the Insignia is outstanding, and the on screen menu is far easier to cope with than other sets I have had. Using only a rabbit ears, I pull in about 50 digital channels and they all look great. For the price, this set is spectacular. And despite the marine environment...I lay it down in the V berth when sailing...it has held up well, better than the small curtis 15 I was using before this. You cannot go wrong at this price. I compares well...or beats...name brands I have had, particularly a samsung 32 LCD that lasted a year before it burned out. Get this!
