The Instant Pot Duo Plus 9-in-1 is a game-changer for small kitchens and busy lifestyles. Its compact 3-quart size is perfect for smaller meals, yet it still offers incredible versatility, functioning as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, and more. The stainless steel design is durable and easy to clean, while the user-friendly controls make cooking effortless. The included app with over 800 recipes is a great bonus for meal inspiration. While it may be too small for large families, it’s an excellent choice for singles, couples, or those looking for a space-saving all-in-one appliance.

Everything about this machine is great. Old school functionalities in one modern device. I love it. After 6 years use of the original 3qt Duo, this is a well designed replacement. I have had this new pot for over a year. It works solid and consistent every time. As an over the road trucker, I use this at least once EVERY DAY to cook meals. The most used functions are the Pressure, Slow, Sous Vide, and Sauté cooking modes. Very healthy meals. The ceramic non-stick is a huge improvement over the previous pot. I have a mini-fridge. Many meals are Quinoa based with any type of meat, chicken, fish, cheese. Smash Burgers using the sauté mode are delicious; I use a small round cast iron griddle press. Simply dump in a pound of rump roast beef chunks, bag of frozen veggies, half stick of butter, mushrooms, onions, Any kind of starch (flour, cheerios, cheetos!, pasta, rice, grits), G. Hughes sugar free BBQ sauce (THE BEST FLAVOR OPTIONS), and whatever else you like!... set to slow cook LOW temp for 6 or 7 hours... and you will have a delicious cheaper than restaurant healthy hot meal when you park for the night. The meat is fork tender. I've made all the above; plus... ribs, shrimp and grits, SOUPs thick thin, Beans, Rice meat loaf.... freggin endless. The slow cook capabilites and the ceramic nonstick are the keys to success. This is the superman of crock pots. The internet is loaded with cooking ideas. So basically, yeah, I recommend.

This is still the best pressure cooker available on the market. Its features meet my expectations. I use this to cook steam vegetables, rice, beans, and meat. I use the delay start function a lot, so I can set it and go to work. When I come back home, the meal is ready. In addition to the preset types, I also use the general "pressure cook" a lot. For example, I use this to cook hard-boiled egg. The result is perfect every time. The problem I encountered is condensation of water on the lid running out and dripping to the table when the cooking is done and the pot is not opened for a while. Water accumulated on the inside of the lid will flow to the edge because the lid is shaped like a dome - the center is higher than the edge. It is easy to solve this problem, though. They just need to make the lid flat, or even with the center lower than the perimeter. They can also solve this problem by adding a "water catch ring" right before they get to the sealing gasket so it drips back into the pot. I like the improvement they made to the way the pressure can be released. Previously, you need to turn the pressure valve to the release position to let the air out. People often forget to make sure it is back to the "seal" position when they use the pot again, making this shoot food out and make a mess in the kitchen, especially when delay start is used (nobody is home when this happens). Cleaning the lid to remove food from all the small crevices is not a quick job. The new design seems to avoid that problem most of the time. The stainless steel pot is another thing I like. It's easy to clean. I don't need to worry about protective or non-stick layers breaking off the surface of the pot and getting into the food. Everything seems to be designed for me.

I ordered this Duo Plus Mini (3qt) on Thursday and got it the next day and made beef stew using my usual recipe. When I make this on the stove top it takes about 7 hours to allow for meat to become tender and the flavor of the stew to develop. I thought for sure with the IP that I’d have to make it and let is sit for a while or overnight. Well....after 2.5 hours from food prep to done, my husband and I were amazed at how soft the meat was and the flavor fully developed. We just couldn’t get over it. I’m not even gonna go back to the slow cook method. It’s only two of us so there was only enough stew for 3 servings, but I could have made a slightly bigger batch to get 4 servings and it might have taken 3 hours. At the end, when I wanted it to cook a little longer, I got the Burn warning twice. According to the manual, the starchy potatoes were sticking to the bottom of the pot (that used to happen even in my regular stove-top pot). It was good that it warned me so I could attend to it. Clean up was a breeze! Day two: made hard boiled eggs. Videos on Youtube show putting eggs on the wire rack that comes with the pot, but had already bought the silicone egg rack so I used both. I only used 6 eggs for the test run and 2 cups of water and pushed the egg button. When it was done, I did the quick release and put them in a bowl of cold water (no ice). Well....my husband and I agree that even though it took about the same time (17 mins) when cooked on the stove, these are the best hard boiled eggs we’ve ever had. Easy to peel, yolk nice and moist, and the whites soft and not rubbery. Note, the preset feature is for x-large eggs, which I used. The manual tells you to adjust the setting for different egg size. Still Day 2: right after the eggs I wanted to test rice. Again no real instructions in the manuals so watched some videos. I filled the measuring cup that came with it (3/4 c) with long grain white rice and added the same amount of water, plus a little more (as per video). Pushed the rice button and let it be. I let it naturally release the steam and the rice was great! Next time, I’d add even a little more water. Total time: 27 m. We don’t often eat rice, but it’s nice to be able to cook it up quickly on the off occasion. A little bit of rice stuck on bottom, but cleaned up easily. It’s only been two days and tree cooks so I can’t attest to the longevity of this pot, but the quality seems great! I can say that both my husband and I are impressed so far. There’s only two of us so this is the right size for us, but I do wonder if the 6 qt would be more useful in case I want to prepare more than 4 servings.

If you live in a neighbourhood where your packages might get stolen off your front porch I recommend asking for extra/gift packaging in checkout because mine was shipped in the bright red Instant Pot box. This is my first pressure cooker and first instant pot. I live alone in a very small apartment so I got this one over the 6QT and that was definitely the right idea. Packaged with the instant pot itself is a very thorough manual, an extra rubber seal for the lid, and plug. Cleaned everything and ran it through a water-only test run with no problems. The screen is bright and easy to read and the buttons are all clearly labelled. There are a lot of settings that I will probably never use, but so far I've made an easy beef stew with it and I'm very impressed with how quick it is compared to a slow cooker. Remains to be seen how long it will stand up to use over time, hopefully it will live up to the instant pot reputation for being long-lasting. Recently the cost of the 3QT models has been going up so if you're considering it you're probably better off grabbing one now than trying to wait for a deal.

I had to return the pot because it did not work.I bought used in very good condition so it should have worked. So I found cheaper at Visions electronics new condition. However I have two other sizes of the instant pot and was very happy and they were bought at Amazon.Makes stew meat like butter and also cheap roasts so tender.Potatoes come out like silk.I highly praise these machines.Really should give four for not working but gave five because they are so great and save you on electricity big time.

If you have never used these before and are looking for a pot that cooks just about anything in less than it would normally on the stovetop, take the leap. I did so many years ago. My reason for getting this in the first place way back when was because I used to make rice everyday. After several expensive rice makers, they all had the same thing in common after a year or so. The non stick pot inside would start to peel away and to replace these was almost the price of what the Instant Pot was at the time. So the NUMBER ONE REASON I bought Instant pot in the first place was for the Stainless Steel pot on the inside. Amazing, and I pray that they don't turn to the non stick pots ever. I know that some of the other products they have do have the non stick pots, like in the air fryers. I do have an air fryer with the non stick and I am not happy about that, but I love the fryer aspect of it. There you have it folks, as a general rule of thumb, I tend to replace electronic cookware after about 10-15 years. I use these almost every single day, so I am very pleased with the company. Customer Service is also very responsive, so all in all a good choice. Real bang for your buck!

Click to play video I have been using pressure cooker on stove and gas burners for over 20 years but Instant Pot Electric pressure cooker is much convenient to use. The results were pretty satisfying. The yogurt and cake options worked well too. Unfortunately, the condensation collector is too lose and keeps falling off causing water to spill over my kitchen top. Since the condensation collector is installed opposite to control panel, there is no way to know when it drops off. I think it happens when the lid is opened or closed. Probably, this condensation collector belongs to larger 6 or 8 quart models. Please send me correct condensation collector for 3 quart model. The anti-block shield is too close to the edges of the lid. It does not provide enough space to grip it to pull out for cleaning.
