For over ten years, I have tried different Wi-Fi extenders to fix my wireless woes in my home. I have tried Asus, Netgear and TPlink products, and I've even upgraded my routers several times in an attempt to boost the quality and reliability of my Wi-Fi network. AI Mesh Wi-Fi networks with four extender/WAP devices with ethernet backhauls never worked. Then a month ago I discovered the EERO Wi-Fi network and this solution fixed my issue in my home. My Wi-Fi is ROCK SOLID, now, The setup was unbelievably easy and only took about 10 minutes to setup all three WAPs and the configuration in the app on my Android phone was simple and quick. My only real negatives are that I have to use an Android app for configuration and monitoring of my network instead of using my PC and web browser. I have it setup in bridge mode where my Asus router (self Wi-Fi is turned OFF) is the DHCP server and the EERO devices have two WIFI networks (guest and home) setup and both the strength, speed and quality of my home Wi-Fi has never been better as a result.

Great way to get rid of dead spots in your house. This is the easiest way to have a mesh network in your house, as simple as plug and play: Plug in, download the app and follow the instructions... done! This is not a wifi extender rather a mesh network so it makes it reliable since it has direct communication with each other. With this kind of system, you don't need to join multiple wifi connections unlike with an extender (wifi_ext) It works with Alexa app and can also make your echo dots as access points (AP) to get more coverage area. The app gives you options to personalize and control usage if applicable. Kinda pricey compared to other alternatives but definitely worth it.

We needed a second network and our cable carrier strongly recommended this brand. It is very easy to set up. One connects directly to your router and the other unit is a stand alone. Plug it in where you need your wifi signal enhanced. We did run into a problem - our basement is solid concrete and our router has to be in the basement. After having an impossible time getting the two eeros communicating - a quick call to customer service solved the problem. I had to run an ethernet cable from the router (up through the floor) to the living room. It was very simple in that all we had to do was run the ethernet cable along the coaxial cable. Within minutes the eeros were communicating and connectivity surged from 60mbps to 500mpbs. When in operation, the eeros only has one small solid white light on. Just remember, you want to keep the eeros in an open area. Out of curiosity, I placed the eeros connected to the router in a stereo cabinet - cut the speed down to 225mbps. Works very well...easy to use and customer support is available by phone and the matter was resolved quickly.

Extremely short range only covers about 30 feet from router. For large areas any other brand would work better. Update new software update is now letting devices connect to the longer range 2.4 GHz network instead of keeping them on the shorter range 5GHz network.

UPDATE: ALL ISSUES RESOLVED, IT'S SCREAMING FAST AND I HAVE TO SAY, EERO SUPPORT IS PHENOMENAL. I'm updating my review from 4 to 5 stars after using this for a few months. First of all, their customer success reached out to me (because real humans spotted my issue, not AI) and proactively offered to help. I was impressed with that. That resolved some of the issues. As of changing a few things around, adding a security system, a boatload of ethernet cables (via a switch) and a bunch of other doohickies, it was necessary to make a few changes to the network setup. I emailed that there was an issue, they offered to schedule a call (which is so professional and awesome as opposed to waiting online for hours and getting dropped, which happens with so many call centers...) but I was busy and didn't respond so they sent an email reminder with my issue number. So I called their support and they. solved. the. issue. Now, the network is running faster than ever (I'm plugged in via ethernet now) and there's no high pitched noise anywhere in the house except within a 2 foot radius of the "main" eero puck. They also asked the make and model of the network switch I have plugged into the main eero to track any possible compatibility issues. To be honest, I didn't *really* want to love this bc it's owned by Amazon (ahem, scamazon? which doesn't have all my favorite business practices in the world!) but I do love this system. Because it works so well and they worked so hard to make sure everything worked, providing outstanding support from all angles, I can do nothing but sing its praises. I think you can't go wrong with this Eero. Incidentally, the wifi sped up significantly (even when not on ethernet) with this latest firmware and redo that took it out of bridge mode. ---ORIGINAL REVIEW--- I just set up the Eero 6+ a week ago, but the routers had to be super close together without Ethernet, and the speeds were merely so-so just a room away. Plus (and this is the deal killer) there was a persistent high-pitched noise around the routers, even when plugged in via ethernet. I have sensitive ears and can hear things dogs hear. I could also feel the frequency in my teeth. Very weird. So I thought I would try this one instead in case it made a difference. Our fiber speed is 940 max so the 6+ should have been fine speed wise. This one performs faster except when doors are closed, then it's actually slower. This one, fortunately, does not make the high pitched noise like the 6+, so points for that. But trying to connect the garage router wirelessly was unsuccessful where the 6+ connected just fine. I had to run an Ethernet cable to the Eero 7 to get it to connect. So I would say this one is more finicky overall than the 6+. I will have to decide whether I can deal with the high pitched noise of the 6+. The Eero 7 seems to have worse performance through walls.

Easy plug and play replacement for a much earlier Eero -- after I turned off and unplugged everything that had been using the signal bolstered by the old Eero. A concern that the Eero 7 might not work with T-Mobile's 5G home internet was unfounded. Another concern that the two Eero Beacons I used with the old Eero would not work was also unfounded. The Eero 7 found them without any help from me. The signal is strong throughout this 2,550 sq. ft house, including in the basement and the garage.
