I'd give these a 4.5 if I could but because I can't, I'll leave it at 5. First off, what I like. They fit great and don't budge even while jogging. Super easy to put into the ears and take them out. The app has a lot of functionality and customization. I would definitely get the app going if you get these. I particularly like the voice aware feature that lets you hear your own voice a bit while on a call, so you don't get that weird "talking into a void" feeling when you're talking to someone with noise cancelling headphones. There's also a "find my buds" function if somehow you do lose one of the buds and need it to beep to help you locate it. You can also can also switch which bud controls which function, volume, playback, or ambient sound. Sadly you can't control all 3 things, gotta pick 2 (One for left, one for right earbud). The sound quality is decent. It can definitely do decent bass if you set it up right, but you do lose some of the crispness elsewhere in the range. For workout headphone, these are great. If you're an audiophile, look elsewhere. Battery life seems fine but I rarely use headphones for an hour+ so I'm not the best judge of that. What I don't like. The ANC is only okay. It filters most of low frequency noises but higher frequency noises come through. If you have a clicky keyboard, you will still hear it plain as day so if you like to listen to music quietly while working, you'll just have to accept the keyboard noise or turn up the volume until you can't hear it. For workout headphones, this is fine, but if you're expecting to use this in an office, might be worth considering. I don't love the touch controls. The three ways to interact are tap, double tap, and long hold. There is no tactile feedback though so it takes some getting used to the exact pressure and rhythm to the action so if you're not using these on a regular basis, it might be tough to get the controls to do what you want when you first put them on. Making matters worse, the beeping noise that is supposed to alert you that you have activated the control (one beep, 2 beeps) doesn't scale with the volume so if you're listening to music loudly, you won't hear it at all. So you can easily tap the control thinking you got it, but nothing happens because you actually didn't touch it long enough or hard enough. This can be very bothersome to the point that I found myself just reaching for my phone to control things like pausing or skipping when it was practical to do so. I'd have preferred some small tactile buttons for controls. I know that's an uncommon feature for bud style headphones like this, but I can dream. The case doesn't feel very premium, if I'm honest. Feels pretty cheap and toylike. I have soundcore buds that are half the cost of this but their case feels nicer. This isn't important to functionality, but worth mentioning. I know it seems like there's more in the "don't like" category but its important to note, most of the "don't likes" are things that don't get in the way of the core functionality of these. These are compact, workout earbuds and they work great in this context.

I am very pleased so far with my new JBL Endurance Race 2 earbuds! These Bluetooth headphones go above and beyond with quality and useful features! Of course, listening to music (the quality of sound is amazing, especially with the equalizer set to "funk" for me personally), but also the functionality of being able to keep these in and HEAR other people if you want (ambient noise is amplified) as in the sound is recorded and played into the earbuds, not muffled (or active noise cancelling if you want where you feel like you're in a deep cave) and the TALK THROUGH feature! Not only can I hear others with just the tap of my finger on the earbuds, but I could make it so it plays my own voice back to me so it essentially feels like I'm not wearing earbuds or earplugs or headphones at all because I can hear my own voice- all WITHOUT needing to take them off! The very gentle on the ear and the added stretchy ear anchor piece (to make it exercise friendly) really does help keep the earbuds in. BUT if you don't want that feature, you can put on the other silicone pieces without the extra support! What great thought has gone into designing these headphones for every feature I can think of, and for way less cost than my daughter's very uncomfortable and bulky other brand earbuds for exercise that fall out and are not flexible. These have it all! The battery was still at 100% after a few hours of use. Wow. I used it for a phone call and tested how it sounded on the other end with a different phone and the sound of the microphone in these was not distinguishable vs. a regular call. I'm not sure what kind of witchcraft these earbuds have, but they are truly the best quality sound, most functional, easy to use, long lasting battery, and sturdy yet super comfortable. The designers really knocked it out of the park with this design. The white version is not a true white, but has almost a soft gray to it. But maybe this is intentional to not be so harsh and show so much dirt? The app is simple yet helps you customize the important functions of the earbuds. One minor imperfection that is not really avoidable is that when I wear my hair down, sometimes I can hear it brushing against the microphones. It's not too loud or distracting- just something to not. There is an optional maximum volume limit setting on the app as well for ears that don't want to be blown out. I want the opportunity haha. The case and earbuds are moderately attractive- not the sleekest or minimalist, but they are a powerhouse and the white is minimalist enough for my taste. Form and function kiss! The value you get for these is shocking. Add to cart if you don't have earbuds with these features with stunning audio quality and at this budget friendly price point. Wow!

These earbuds are great for my workouts and daily commutes. The fit is incredibly secure; they stay put during intense runs and even during jump rope sessions at the gym. The waterproof rating means I don't have to worry about sweat or unexpected rain showers, which is a huge plus (even though I haven't tested that yet though). The sound quality is great, with a punchy bass that keeps me motivated, and the highs and mids are clear enough for my podcasts and playlists. Battery life is as of now great. I get about 10 hours of playback with noise cancelling on, and up to 12 hours without it. The charging case is said to provide an additional 36 hours, totaling 48 hours of playback time, but I have not got to that extreme, since a quick 10-minute charge gives me around 4 hours of use, which is perfect when I'm in a rush. The Active Noise Cancelling isn't the best on the market—it reduces ambient noise but doesn't eliminate it completely—but it's sufficient for my needs. The ambient mode could be better; I find it doesn't let in as much outside sound as I'd like when I'm running near traffic. Call quality is decent; my voice comes through clearly, although it can sound a bit hollow at times. Overall, for the price point, the JBL Endurance Race 2 offers a solid combination of durability, sound quality, and battery life. They're not perfect, but they've become my go-to earbuds for both workouts and everyday use.
