As you can see in the picture, I own both the PartyBox 110 and now the 710. The 110 is fantastic and if used indoors while plugged in, is loud enough for a gathering of about 40-50 people. However, if a gathering became larger, the 110 simply would become drowned out in the noise of conversation. So, we started using a 310 for gatherings (owned by friends) but the same thing would occur when the gathering would reach about 50-70 people. Even then it could sometimes sound like background noise. We tend to throw larger events (a college student here) so I decided to finally break down and buy the 710 so the sound issue would no longer be prevalent. After watching numerous review videos, they all mentioned how ground-shaking the bass was. Well, I can now tell you, they were not lying. Although this speaker does have to be plugged in, it's too large to be portable anyway. Having a built-in battery wouldn't do much anyways because I can't see a situation where this beast would be used that is not next to a power source. This is not a product you want to bring to the beach. It would make every other beach-goer angry with you. We have used this thing at large gatherings 80+ people inside and it is so loud that the music does not get lost and the bass rattles through the crowds chest. It is truly the center piece of whatever event it is present at. The wheels are nice to move it, but we would just throw it in the backseat of a car and move it place to place. The lights are also really good looking, but the sound is what I spent my money on. For personal use, max volume is definitely overkill. At 50% volume, it seems louder than the 110 on max volume and the bass is definitely deeper. Crank it up to 100% and you have a miniature concert. It also has worked well with DJ boards, if that is a concern. All in all, if you are looking for a semi-portable speaker that can bring sound for a crowd of 80+ people (even 100+) where the 110 and 310 cannot, then pick up the 710. If you are looking for a loud speaker to bring on trips, grab the 110. However, the $800 price tag will gate-keep a lot of people from picking this speaker up. I do believe it is worth the $800 if it is being used as a PARTY box. This speaker is meant for large crowds. Tame listening still sounds amazing, but this beast is supposed to be getting people up out of their seats. Max volume with bass boost will have everyone at the event dancing and singing. 9/10 in my opinion, only lacking a point for portability.

First off, I am not easy to impress with audio...I am used to custom built TC Sounds subwoofers providing the low end ...but these two 8 inch drivers are tuned well...and have fantastic output . Move lots of air through the port, without any noticeable port noise...well designed. What sold me on these ( I bought 2 of them, saw the drop to 649 bucks...jumped on it ), was watching a JBL 710 Teardown video...the build quality on these is amazing...they use an MDF braced enclosure under the plastic framing...dual fan cooled amplifier section at the top for better heat dissipation...its a tank inside as well as outside. The App is very robust, pairing the two 710's was not only easy...it stayed problem free the entire night of testing...lets just say I wish my pair of Hyperboom's pairing was a robust as this 710's is . Also, when updating the software...watch the speaker...the LED ring around the woofer mirrors the apps progress...what a COOL detail to think of. The BassBoost DEEP setting is FANTASTIC, the Punchy setting is HORRIBLE...set it to DEEP. It cant be all perfect ( Really close though ) , the AC input could have been better...the little figure 8 input plug is not good for plugging/unplugging on a regular basis. And the tweeters were a strange choice, almost as if JBL found a hidden stash of these old coned 2 inch drivers to use...they do OK...but lack in high end extension...and seem very directional. This would kill a critical listening speaker, but on this in your face monster speaker...It doesnt bother me much ( Hey, had to find SOMETHING to gripe about ) I gotta say, while I expected a lot from the 710 from the reviews and watching the Teardown video...the actual speaker delivered even more....believe the hype...this one is the real deal.

This speaker is amazing! It's worth every penny. The bass is house rattling. The voice is very clear. The light choices are great. Just received today and I'm upset that I didn't order sooner. It's heavy but moves easily on the wheels. Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed.

Wanted a portable home speaker. Was looking at the specifics of wattage and amps, this one made the most sense. Not portable but packs a punch. I got it on sale months ago for $549 out the door. At first it’s not so loud, but play music for a while at low to medium volumes and it breaks in really quick. Once broken in the bass hits pretty HARD. As a bass head myself for at home use it’s a little too loud for me. Bass travels as some of you may know. Volume is loud, voice sounds great, quality comes down to how you got your music, speaker does an amazing job of delivering. I originally got this as a “rather have it and not need it” type deal. And I’d buy a second time if I had a choice, highly recommend!

I hope that you can experience this set too with your JBL 710 set - pull the trigger because you will love every moment you spark up and enjoy your own custom sound checks! I’m blessed to have these now because in all my life, this JBL 710 set is the best multi functional sound gear investment that I’ve purchased. For the home, I believe it’s equally important to have great sound gear to add to a great OLED monitor. For outdoor events and rv glamping this also fits. Esta bocina, es una completa joya, si lo que buscas es un dispositivo de audio para pequeños eventos, medianos o algo grandes, sin problemas, lo abarca, tiene un sonido muy bueno para las fiestas, el bajo suena potente, los medios tambien suenan muy bien, y la voz, es muy clara y nitida, es muy recomendable para este tipo de eventos... Tambien cabe mencionar que las luces ya integradas, le dan un muy toque a la bocina. Tiene la opcion de conectar micrfono o en su defecto, usar algun instrumento, esta muy bien equipado, muy recomendado... y si llegases a comprar dos, olvidate de tener que volver a contratar algun sonido... Tambien, lo puedes conectar a tu TV para ver peliculas, y llena todo el espacio, es simplemente increible, calidad precio...

Es un monstruo! Suena durisimo sin perder claridad en el audio. Los bajos son increibles, hacen temblar las ventanas. No hay mucho mas que decir. Es un equipo fenomenal. Ojo, no es un equipo portatil, es decir, no tiene bateria interna, necesita alimentacion externa.

The quality sound from this was incredible. Good deep bass, sturdy, and flashy! It has wheels thank goodness because it is bigger than I expected. Well worth the money.

Really deep good bass and sound quality the PartyBox app makes it so much more easier to use and more fun. Really loud too.
