I could have sworn the listing price was cheaper when I ordered these, but I can't recall and I can't see since these were obtained via Vine. Either way, still a good value for $60. My favorite earbuds for years have been ones that fall under the umbrella of the HARMAN international group, including AKG and JBL. I've always enjoyed their bang for your buck as a good value. Most importantly, I've always been happy with the fit in my ears. These are no exception. Pros The stock nibs seal well in my ear canals, not really any discomfort for me. The noise cancelling and ambient aware work quite well. The optional software I downloaded on my android is pretty cool as it has peaceful sound effects you can use like a campfire, waves, rain, or the tide in the ocean, etc. Out of all of my earbuds (I mostly use samsungs), these JBLs have some of the most bass and that's fun. I've had great quality calls with these as well. Finally, the magnetism is strong to snap these into place in the case, so it's really easy to know you have a "strong" fit/hold. Cons The main gripe that I can come up with is the bizarre case that is completely open on the top. This leads to pocket lint and whatnot getting in there. I've been meaning to track down a silicone case/skin to put over it, and I'll get around to it. Just have to be picky on the exact model name of these. The only other minor grievance is that there is limited customizability with the touch controls. I find it annoying to have to tap the left earbud for both ambient aware and noise cancelling. My intuitive way of setting up my other earbuds is that I prefer for the left one to help me be LEFT alone (noise cancelling) and the right one to help me "hear that RIGHT?" (ambient aware). So hopefully they'll add more customization than the few presets that you can choose from. Like I said, it's minor and definitely not a deal breaker for me.

I own many pairs of wireless earbuds, from super cheap to good. The best pair I own are the Philips Fidelio T1, which were pretty well-reviewed highish-end ANC earbuds about 4 years ago. These earbuds fall somewhere in the middle as far as price. The two best features about these are the sound quality and the ANC. The ANC is VERY good-probably the 2nd best ANC out of all of the earbuds I own. The sound quality is also very good- probably #3 on my list. These have a decently balanced sound- the bass is decent, and for as punchy as the bass is the midrange is good. Even the treble is ok-it’s not as clear as my Philips, but it’s also a little less fatiguing. I think that the soundstage is #2 as far as width EXCEPT it’s a little weird. It’s wide but the furthest parts of the left and right channels sound like they are coming from below ear level, not perfectly horizontal. The battery life is quite good. I played about 4 hours of music and am still at 50%. Things I don’t like: The earpads are terrible. Hard to put on and flimsy, and I can’t seem to get them to fit right in my ears. Like the medium is too small and the large is too big. They are kinda meh in the comfort department. The controls are pretty bad. I don’t know how the touch parts are simultaneously so sensitive I accidentally press them a lot AND are impossible to find when I WANT to press them. I hate the fact that the charging pod doesn’t have a lid. Yes, the buds are magnetic. No, they haven’t fallen out. But I would bet money that one day they will. Overall for the price these earbuds are good-very good. If you can live w the things I outlined above they might be a fit for you.

I have owned more headphones and earbuds than I’m proud to admit. These JBL earbuds are some of the better earbuds I’ve used. They come with a charging/carrying case, USB charging cable, and three sizes of tips (small, medium, large). I found the medium tips, preinstalled on the earbuds, to have the best overall fit. I noticed that when I smiled or squinted my eyes, the earbuds tended to push out of my ear canal just a bit, but they never fell out, which is crucial for people buying these for workouts. In terms of sound quality, these earbuds stand out. Many earbuds I’ve tested overemphasize the 3 kHz “presence” region, causing discomfort after just a few minutes. These JBL earbuds have a flatter response in that region, choosing instead to emphasize the 7-10 kHz “air” region. This approach highlights stringed instruments like guitars (acoustic and electric) as well as the snap of drums. And since they’re JBL earbuds, the bass is punchy and deep, truly best in class. Regarding noise cancellation, I was impressed. It yields an above-average amount of noise reduction; not as strong as some higher-end brands, but sufficient for most environments. With a simple touch on the left earbud, you can switch from ANC mode to “Ambient Aware,” allowing external sound to pass through. There are a couple of things I don’t love, though they’re not significant enough to deduct a full star. First, although the magnetic case ensures a secure fit, it lacks a lid, leaving the earbuds exposed when seated. Second, the touch controls are slightly too sensitive for my liking; I found myself accidentally switching between ANC and Ambient modes while adjusting the earbuds. These minor nuisances, however, don’t significantly detract from the overall excellent quality of these earbuds.

Alright, let’s be real these Vibe Buds 2 are fine. Not life-changing. Not rage-inducing. Just… okay. The sound is decent, kinda like someone poured a shot of bass into your ear canal and called it “pure.” The noise canceling? It cancels some noise, mostly your will to complain. Calls are clear enough that your mom can still hear you not listening. Battery life is solid though .. like, “I forgot to charge these for three days and they still work” kind of solid. Would I gift them to someone I like? Sure. Would I replace my AirPods with them? LOL, no. But for under-the-couch money? They do the job.
