Bought this tripod as I needed a solid tripod, eventually landed on this model as I needed something that had good value and could flip the center post, as I often do macro photography and film digitalization. The tripod is very sturdy, no creaks or raddles. I love that it folds so compactly, fits in my 13L backpack easily. The phone holder is also a bonus, holding my phone very securely.

Tripods can be expensive. I needed to upgrade to something a little heavier, and this has been a good tripod for the money. While I prefer pan and tilt heads, the ball mount included works well. Feels secure, even when fully extended at full height. I use it for wide angle astrophotography with a star tracker and it has fit that role well, offering enough weight and stability for the sensitive equipment. Would recommend.

Overall very pleased with this tripod. Pretty easy to use once you get the hang of what all the knobs and levers do. Minor gripes which knock it down to 4 stars for me: 1) In the product I received, the hex/allen head bolts which secure the legs to the center of the tripod had a bunch of tiny extremely sharp burrs on them. I kept getting little slices cut into my hands the first couple times I used the tripod, and it took me a while to figure out the source. I used a Dremel tool to clean up the surface of those bolt heads, and all is good now. But buyers should be aware of this hazard. 2) The bubble level on the tripod head is fairly useless. It is heavily biased toward the center. So as long as you're within 5-10º or so of horizontal, it reads as if you are actually level. I was hoping I'd be able to use the level to quickly get set up on uneven terrain, but it really isn't helpful. Aside from those two issues, I've found the tripod to be quite secure and useful so far!

It's a great tripod - compact for travel, but strong for supporting a good-sized camera and lens.

For the price, you get a solid, easy-to-transport tripod. Unfortunately, the leg locks are made of plastic, and it remains to be seen how long they'll last. For my intended use—a tripod to take with me on my bike—it's perfectly suited. I think the tripod offers good value for money, and as a bonus, it even comes with a cell phone mount.

I first purchased the "manfrotto befree travel" tripod which also includes a fluid head for smooth panning. The fluid head was grindy and wobbled like it might break at any moment. so... I replaced it with this then for 1/6th the price! The befree is definitely sturdier, since it's made from aluminum, but it is not in any way worth what they're asking. This tripod is easier to carry and smaller to pack, with a plastic mount. Don't underestimate the value of a plastic mounting system, because that means it won't scratch anything! which is largely why this one weighs so little. While the plastic construction compromises stability, it does a fine job of holding a mirrorless camera with a 350mm zoom lens. It also has the handy hook on the reverse side so you can hang your backpack for some extra heft. (more than adequate for me. my backpack isn't doing anything while I'm shooting, might as well make it useful.) the best part is you can actually lock the ball head and use a separate panning adjustment without having to purchase a new head! don't judge it by the price. this is definitely a better buy than a manfrotto befree and probably also the PD, simply because it works so well for so little.

Great tripod. Feels similar in quality to the $200 ones but for only a fraction of the price. I used it when I was hiking in Arizona and it was super light in my camera backpack.
