Wow! I got these expecting them to not actually grip the fridge. Much to my surprise they didn't! I've used them for a couple weeks now and they have replaced my older mitts. The Good: -- The magnet is _very_ strong. The magnet is safely sewed into the fabric and isn't removable. You would need to cut them open to get at the magnet. They grip extremely well to the stainless front of the fridge, but the painted side which has a sort of pebbled texture is a bit less grippy. They still work fine, but if I bump them they slide down ever so slightly. -- The gloves are quite long. They cover almost all of my forearm without being too obnoxious. Nice to have when you're carrying a heavy load or reaching around the end of a large pan. -- The silicone is grippy enough for my liking. The Cromulent: -- TBD on how these will perform after washing. I have some full silicone mitts I like to use with my smoker and handling large pork shoulders. I would NOT use these for directly handling meat like that. For regular oven handling, these are great. -- There's not much in the way of padding, but that's fine for my preferences. If you prefer to have more padding, these might not be for you. The Bad: -- Nothing so far. I guess if I were to find one minor thing to complain about, it would be that the magnets were so strong I had to make sure they didn't accidentally pull the glove into the scissors when I was cutting off the plastic hanger. Almost not worth mentioning though. Will be interesting to see how these hold up to repeated washings. Will report back in a few months. Originally reviewed 4/24/25.

So far, I am really liking these Kitchen Aid oven mitts. They seem to be of a typical thickness for the insulation/fabric. The silicone grid on the fabric helps to grip pans more securely, which is super important! I chose basic black because I assumed they would be less prone to staining and discoloration over time. I'd love to have matching square pot holders!

These are legit Kitchenaid brand and comes with the tags. They have a great thickness to them and seem to be machine washable. The black is a true black and they have grippy designs on them. I like that they are longer than usual, so they cover more of your arms to protect from heat.

These are well made oven mitts. They are made from a thicker material and have a design that leaves you fully protected from the elements. They work as intended. I feel little to no oven heat when I use them. I can pick up pots and pans easily even with the thick material. I do have one complaint, though, and it is that there is a rusty type mark on my on the mitts that was there when it arrived. I don’t know if this is due to the material used or if these were somehow previously used. Whatever the reason it is there, it definitely makes me feel like I got a used product.

Hard to go wrong with KitchenAid brand. These mitts are a good thickness and allow you to hold a hot pan for a considerable amount of time. The color and appearance is exactly as pictured for the Blue version and the stitching is all neatly placed. The silicone texture helps greatly with grip and they are plenty big for people with larger hands. I often find some of the cheaper no name mitts are way too tight as a man. These are a standard length, about mid forearm. Would recommend these.

These oven mitts do the job well enough, with a couple of standout features and some drawbacks. The silicone grip is a big plus, providing a secure hold on hot dishes—better than other mitts that can be slippery. They’re also thick enough to protect against heat, which is crucial. However, the interior is strangely rough and uncomfortable, as if it wasn’t properly finished. While they’re functional and offer good grip, the slightly uncomfortable lining makes them less enjoyable to wear. Overall, they’re decent, but could use some improvement in comfort.

I quite like these. There are very deep providing great coverage. The cloth is a really nice material, and the lower portion is criscrossed with a grippy silicone like material that make them nice and grippy. Even though they are grippy, it is still cloth, which is nice. It is a nice tradeoff. I don't feel like I am on the verge of always dropping something when I am using them. I really like them, even over another set of Kitchen Aid pot holders I already have. which are not as deep, and do not have the grippy addition. Would definitely recommend.

Love these kitchen aid oven mitts, I previously had some and I wore them out!! They were my fave and now these are too. They are great quality and don’t burn easy.
