· DETECTS SMOKE: Sounds a loud 85-decibel alarm when smoke is detected - 3 long beeps with red LED light flashing in time, repeating. · HARDWIRED & 10-YEAR BATTERY BACKUP: Operates on 120V AC wiring (installed in the ceiling). No battery changes for 10 years & saves up to $40 over the life of the detector. · ENHANCED SENSING TECHNOLOGY: Reduces false alarms often caused by cooking. Comprehensively tested to meet the latest UL standards, meets UL 217 9th Edition & FCC standards. · SELF-TESTING ALARM: Internal components ensure alarm is always operating as expected. Not a substitute for a manual push test, perform a button test once per week to verify alarm operation. · INTERCONNECT CAPABILITY: When one alarm sounds, they all sound, so you can get out faster. (Different models offer different interconnection options and requirements. See User Guide for more info.) · 3 LED NOTIFICATIONS: LED lights indicate alarm status, green = normal operation, amber = operating error, red = smoke detected. · TEST & HUSH BUTTON: Makes it easy to test the 5-inch smoke detector and silence false alarms, should they occur. · 10-YEAR WARRANTY: Begins when alarm is powered on. If that date is unknown, it should be assumed that alarms should be replaced. (10-yr limited warranty on alarm, not a battery performance claim.)

This smoke alarm was super easy to install—just like other customers mentioned, it connected right into my existing wiring with no issues. It looks good and feels reliable. The best part for me is not having to worry about changing batteries—it’s one less thing to keep track of. Overall, it works well, looks great, and is a solid value for the price. Highly recommend!

This smoke detector was quick to install, and it connected easily to the existing wiring. I really like that this device has a 10-year battery backup, so it eliminates the hassle of getting up on a step ladder to change the battery each year. I am very pleased with this purchase, and I'm planning on buying another one for a different room in my house.

Easy to switch out with the old smoke detector, same brand. Works well when tested, hopefully it will last 10 years, that’s the life of the battery backup. Give it a try.

I needed 3 detectors but bought 4 to have a spare. Unfortunately, when we went to install them one of the detectors did not work (we tried them in all 3 of the housings). Fortunately, 3 worked perfectly and we decided to keep them since the noise from the failing smoke detectores made sleep very difficult.

Same price as box store, and work great to replace my hardwired sensors.

Works well. Bright green light as expected when new. No false alarms so far. Connects to the existing smoke detectors.

10 year battery failed after 25 days... I installed 5 of these in my home around 2/4/25, I purchased a 4-pack and a single. I installed the single in my master bedroom and on 2/27/25 at about it started beeping. We had just gone to sleep and we though there may be a fire in the home. After quickly ruling that out, I pushed the reset button and it stopped beeping. (We have all 5 wired together so they sound through the entire home) After that happened, I noticed the light on this detector that is normally constant green was flashing green. All of the others still had a solid green LED. The following day the light started flashing red so I removed the smoke detector and sent it to Amazon to be replaced on 2/28/25. I'm hoping it was merely a fluke and this is not an indication of a broader issue. (Flashing red indicates the battery is either dead or dying) I checked the power at multiple places to ensure proper voltage and even had my power company verify my volt meter readings. I'll update my review if the replacement performs better. As of now, I'm not impressed, and being awoken from a dead sleep due to a failed battery is not something I appreciate.

Great smoke alarm. Replaced the one we had. Connects easily to existing wires. Definitely would recommend
