My husband surprised me with a Kitchenaid Artisan mixer for Christmas, a thing of beauty which must be displayed on my counter. I really wanted to buy something to match it, and decided that what I needed was a teakettle. I swear my hot chocolate and herb tea just seems to taste better when the water has been boiled and not microwaved. (All in my head? Maybe.) I did a search on red Kitchenaid kettles and found this one and the other Kitchenaid one that looked very similar, but had a different handle for about twice as much. I decided on this one. I love it. The water seems to heat up pretty fast even though I usually turn the burner on medium. The whistle is loud enough without being obnoxious. The handle can get a little warm if I wait too long to get it off the stove, but not enough to burn anyone. I leave it on the stove when I'm not using it because it matches my mixer and it too is a (smaller) thing of beauty. Seriously, it's worth buying. I've seen other ones in the store that were more expensive that weren't as nice...and it comes in the colors of the mixers for a perfectly coordinated kitchen. How awesome is that!

( UPDATE: I dropped it on a tile floor, it dented and chipped the paint off, which is expected with enamel) I had just returned a Copco tea kettle because the plastic spout-whistle melted after 3 weeks. SO this was my replacement! Notice this tea kettle has the metal spout-whistle? LoL. Me too. So far, so good. The color is the empire red, darker than I thought it would be. The interior is black enamel. I wish it was white, so I could tell if it will rust in time, as all my tea kettles are replaced for that reason! The handle is comfortable after boiling to pick up and pour, the spout whistle is easy to open for pouring. I'm pleasantly surprised that I can handle it after boiling! This would be the first tea kettle that I didn't need an oven mitt to handle after boiling. Yay! The whistle is loud, starts out low pitch and builds up to a screech if you don't get it off the heat. We boil water for tea throughout the day, so this will have daily use. Everything works as expected or better. Seems well made. I hope it holds up, I really like it! If anything changes, I will update.

This is a very high quality kettle. Love the red color. Nice whistle, loud enough to hear but isn’t painfully loud. It has a flat bottom so works great on our glass stovetop. Made in America too.

My old Sur La Table tea kettle rusted out so I needed a new one but didn't want to spend a lot of money (these suckers can get expensive!). I have some other KitchenAid products so I thought it might be nice to match up. I'm pretty happy with this kettle - it's the right size, the price was right, good quality, and the color matches well with my other appliances/cookware. A little strange, but it changes to a darker red, almost burgundy, when it heats up - the color goes back to normal when it cools down, but I thought it was weird at first. It doesn't affect the quality or anything, just thought I'd mention. Anyway, very happy with purchase - and I promise to take much better care of this one than my last kettle (RIP)!

I was trying to decide between this and splurging on the Le Creuset kettle. Both seemed to have issues with chipping so I decided to try this one first and I'm happy I did. It's super functional and well designed. I feel like I got a great deal at this price point. I haven't had any chipping or rust issues - I do wipe it dry after washing and stick it back on the stove so any residual heat can help it dry (thanks to another reviewer for that tip). I use it on a gas burner and haven't had any part melt as other reviews warned against. I love making chai in this with loose leaf tea, milk and some spice!

I bought this a few years ago and it still looks terrific. But, it rusts inside the top where the lid fits and inside the spout . There is a small part inside the spout that has a hole in it that fits into the lidded spout. That part falls out. It won't go back and stay. For the price of these things, I would expect not to get rust or parts fall off. I'd say it is like the terrific person someone met and dated who turned out to be not so nice. Looks is not everything.

So far so good. My only gripe is it's not easy to fill it with filtered water directly from my refrigerator because the water dispenser is on the inside (i.e., unlike most models, it's NOT dispensed through one of the french doors - see stock photo example). But to be fair, I'm not sure how much of an issue that would be with a pass-through door dispenser OR with a different model of kettle. Regardless, it heats water quickly and pours well.

I like this kettle a lot! The handle does a great job of keeping the heat out of it. I like that the spout is spring loaded so that it can hold itself open or closed; I use this when I don't care to hear the whistling because I'm close enough to hear the boiling. Others had issue with the lip inside the spout holding water and rusting, mine seems to have that lip fixed so it doesn't hold water in there. The coating and materials are all good quality, I like the color, and I like that the color and design match my KitchenAid mixer.

I have had this kettle for a while now, it is very sturdy, color remains the same and it works very well on my gas stove !

as a lover of KitchenAid stuff this was a must have not only for the make its also a colour match But when I took it out of the box @ £ 175.00 I thought Iv spent about £ 135.00 over the top on a hob kettle , its a very nice kettle and is comfortable to use but if I saw it in a shop marked up at £ 39.99 I would consider buying it, also when filling from the tap I knocked the bottom rim against the { butler } sink and a thumb nail sized piece of the outer coating broke off at this stage it has not even made it to the cooker but good news the rest of the coating remained intact . I will always promote KitchenAid stuff just not this kettle . SG.

La tetera la encontré a un excelente precio, me llego en 5 días en excelentes condiciones. La tetera es pesada, el material se ve durable. En el instructivo viene como cuidarla, llevo cerca de 3 meses de uso y sigue como nueva.

Love it. The color red is not identical to my kitchenaid stand mixer but fairly close. Looks great in my kitchen

Nada que decir es Kitchen Aid, tengo varios articulos de la marca y para mi es lo mejor que hay para la cocina, y esta tetera no es la excepción, muy superior a otras que he comprado e incluso más caras.
