This onesie is so much more comfortable than the cone! It is soft and stretchy, and has a double layer of fabric in the lower abdomen. The onesie does a great job of protecting my dog's staples as she recovers from being spayed. My dog is a 4 year old 44lb standard poodle and I got the XL size based on others pic reviews of their labs and goldens. It's a perfect fit lengthwise. The Velcro closure allows for different waist sizes. It's not too loose. She definitely sleeps better in it compared to the cone. She had an accident in it, and it is very easy to remove and throw in the washer. I'm glad I ordered 2 of these.

This fit my 75lb Great Danoodle perfectly and worked well after her spay surgery. Velcro is very secure and stayed put while rolled up for her to go outside. Fabric is soft for her; not too thick to make her warm but not cheap and thin either. She was comfortable in it. Highly recommend this!

These suits are nice and work (as long as your dog doesn’t chew through them as mine has now done with several). They are a bit pricey (especially if you have to keep replacing them). Be mindful of sizing and if you have to size up - they seem to be made for the fuller figured of full grown dogs and not the lanky build of most puppies. The large isn’t long enough of my dog but otherwise fits nicely. The extra large is baggy, but works better lengthwise so it’s the size I’ve been sticking with. Though there still seems to be something off in the fit. Perhaps it’s that it slides down due to the baggy fit or it’s that when I put the straps around her in the proper place to fit her it doesn’t quite line up with the strap on the back to secure the stomach straps in place. Overall they’re a nice quality item and work well for a dog who won’t tolerate a cone.

Omg! If you have a female dog that is getting spayed or is recovering from abdominal surgery, you should buy one of these “dog onesies” as we called it, lol! Our female dog was recovering from being spayed and she absolutely hated wearing the cone of shame. She couldn’t get comfortable while wearing the rigid plastic cone on her head (first time wearing a cone) and she was miserable. After about the first 45 minutes of wearing the cone we realized we needed to look into other options for our girl to be able to recover comfortably. The vet had mentioned that our dog could wear a body suit instead of a cone, if she would tolerate it. At that time of loading her into the car to leave the vet, we sort of laughed and didn’t pay much attention to it. I mean, who has ever heard of a body suit for a dog? Well, it was not long and we were searching the internet for just such a suit. We felt bad enough that our extremely high energy, young playful pup was dealing with recovery from surgery, and the many restrictions that she would have to accept, temporarily. She is so energetic and playful, always jumping around the house, inside and out, and always with a toy in her mouth. Toys are such an important part of her daily life/ routine , and we had to take them all away for about 14 days. The vet told us we had to remove all toys that would encourage excitement and jumping/ playing , in order for her to completely heal without any complications from stitches coming open. Our dog had to take doggie downers (prescription that made her less active) to help keep her calm and more relaxed. Even still, keeping her calm and quiet/relaxed was very difficult. With her wearing this “doggie onesie” however, she was finally able to fully relax to sleep. She could not get comfortable enough to fully relax while wearing the cone of shame. While wearing the onesie, she could lick the fabric, but not get to her actual stitches. She excepted the strange new concept of wearing dog clothing and never tried to get it off by herself. Maybe part of this is because we constantly made over her and how cute she was in her dog onesie, lol. The material is very soft and stretchy, just like human baby onesies, lol. The Velcro closure is very strong and secure, yet also very easy to undo and refasten. As you can tell by some of the pics I added to this review, the onesie (Aka dog recovery suit) we purchased did not fit our dog perfectly, because our dog is a mixed breed with a longer body. Our dog is about the size of a full grown Labrador, but taller and longer bodied. Her nickname is stretch, because she the size of a Lab with about 7 inches in length, stretched out in her body. As a result, part of the time her lower neck/ almost shoulder area exceeded past the head opening of the dog suit. Thank goodness for the very stretchy fabric. The dog suit did not fit her perfectly, but it worked and we got through the 2 weeks of recovery. This purchase/item was one of the best things we have bought off Amazon. It did what it was supposed to. It aided in a more comfortable recovery for our dog, not to mention help us to keep our sanity during the process. I highly recommend buying this product if you ever have to get your female dog spayed. Also, I think it might be a good option for female dogs to wear while in heat, to help keep your house cleaner. Could probably work as sort of a dog diaper in that situation. Note: When your dog has to go potty and/or poop you really need to undo the Velcro closure and either roll it up and back (on top of their back) and refasten Velcro holding the fabric out of the way , or , remove onesie temporarily and then put back on. You may want to consider purchasing two of these. That way if one gets dirty or yucky you can wash it in washing machine (recommend air drying) and still keep one on your dog while they are in recovery.

Nice little wrap! I debated between 4 and 5 stars, I went with 5 because I think some of the things I’m iffy about won’t be a problem in the two weeks I’ll be using this (it’s meant for surgery recovery, after all, not a permanent outfit.) The sizing is accurate, the material is lightweight and soft and stretchy. The pattern is cute. The only thing I think might be an issue is that the Velcro sticks together really well, so pulling apart makes me worry I’ll pull the stitching out of one side or the other. However, the Velcro also seems like it won’t stick that well after a wash if even the smallest amount of lint or hair gets stuck to it. That being said, this is overall a great alternative to a cone of shame. My puppy had such a rough first night after her spay trying to sleep in a cone. I felt so bad for her I ordered two of these suits that offered overnight delivery, and that was the best decision! As soon as I took her cone off and got her in the suit, she finally laid down and slept for hours.

I got this for my dog after she was spayed. I wish I had ordered two of them to swap out. It was a little small length-wise, but I'm certain the next size up would have been too big. It was fine. As far as the fabric, I liked that it was soft and looked comfortable. I think that helped her a lot. One more thing - I wish I would have known about this before she got spayed. It would have been perfect to use with diapers during her period. I could never get her to keep it on for long, and this would have accomplished that.

My dog had major surgery and left her with a giant incision on her tummy. This product deterred her from biting at her incision. We tried many other things such as collars and cones, and she was so depressed when she was wearing those things. Eventually we tried this suit and it worked so well! It really stopped her from biting or licking her incision and she was finally able to heal up properly. When it first arrived I was discouraged because it looked very small and we have a hard time finding things that fit our dog properly. But it's supposed to be snug, and it actually fit her perfectly just follow the sizing chart that they give you. I highly recommend this product for anybody's dog that has had a recent surgery.

I have a toy poodle recently desexed, got the M to be safe (she’s 7kg) and it worked great! Could’ve got away with the S but the M gave her a little more space comfortably so not tight. Also fast delivery ! Order over the public holidays and arrived so quickly!

This is far from being true to size. The large looked child size. I sized up for comfort as I typically would wear a medium. This is not true to size.Reviewed in Canada on April 29, 2025

This is absolutely adorable! The quality is much much better than anticipated. My pup was spayed and I’ve decided to dress her in this adorable onesie vs. using a cone. Loretta is an American Cocker Spaniel who is 6 months old and wearing size Medium. Perfect length as you can see, with lots of room in the body, due to the ability to use the Velcro closures.

I got a size L for my 15kg female Staffordshire Bull Terrier & it fits like a glove. The velcro is super strong so she can’t get out of it. Its also really breathable. She can’t get to her wound; no matter how hard she tries. Its great when we take her outside to wee, as it just rolls up so she can go. Its also been helping with her allergies and losing hair. I highly recommend, plus, its super cute.
