Bought the queen size with 20 pound weight for my son and he LOVES it. He's falling asleep much quicker now. The blanket is soft and warm and the size and weight are just as described. I think we'll be washing it in a commercial machine though. I think once wet it will be too heavy for my home machine.

This blanket is amazing! It's the perfect weight (10lbs) for a couch throw. The pressure is perfect when your body is a bit sore. I also got one for my dad who has RA. Both sides of the blanket are soft and cozy, the underside, sherpa like is awesome. I love that it has a sand like filling instead of the larger beads, it distributes the weight much better. The settings are well thought out and easy to use. 10 heat settings, and 5 choices for a timer. I cannot received recommend this product enough.

Have had issues with insomnia (staying asleep, no problem falling asleep) as a result of serious medical issues. Have tried many solutions with minimal success. Not sure why, but using this blanket in conjunction with the white noise app on my iPhone has improved my sleep habits from the perspective of both amount of sleep and quality of sleep. It is also easier to fall back asleep if I wake in the middle of the night. Only down side so far is the lack of reasonable ability to wash….it has to be line dried. A 15 pound (dry) blanket is going to require a pretty sturdy clothesline when wet.

This weighted blanket really does help me fall asleep much faster and I find I’m able to sleep through the night with it. But, I wake up drenched in sweat. I read that it was cooling, but that’s definitely not the case. I’m not sure I’ll be able to use it during the summer months. It’s also really difficult to get into a duvet cover. But, I’m amazed at how quickly I fall asleep and how long I stay asleep since getting it. I just wish it wasn’t so hot.

All the threads that go from one side to the other, are not secured once they get to the perimeter. Consequently within 3 months the threads have come loose about 3 inches towards the center of the blanket. My friend is a seamstress and says that all the stitching has to be re done. Major job by hand with all those beads to deal with. It is now going to the landfil. 15 lbs of landfil. DO NOT BUY. And I wonder how many washing machines got broken by the glass beads breaking free when the threads let go. I have not washed mine.
