Bought the combo red and green together for outside lights work great. No issues even in the below zero weather. Once you buy dusk to dawn bulbs never want to go back.

I put these in my outdoor patio sconce fixtures to replace CFLs that had lasted ... no kidding ... more than ten years with continuous illumination. These are brighter for lower wattage, turn themselves off in the morning, on at dusk and have pleasing color ... enough to navigate the yard and garden clutter that crawls onto the patio when no one is looking, but not so bright as to attract insects or embarrass romantic teenagers. Ask me in ten years about longevity ... they have a very high bar to clear.

(UPDATE - Feb 2025) This bulb has operated beautifully in its daily dusk-to-dawn mode in our extreme hot/cold Minnesota climate for: 54 months and counting. Original review follows: Wonderful to find a Dusk-to-Dawn bulb with a medium intensity output (500 lumens ... 40 watt equivalent). My goal was to augment some low-voltage lighting. I tried a 60 watt equivalent by another manufacturer that was too bright, overwhelming my low-voltage lights. But this LOHAS bulb blends well with low-voltage lighting yet is still bright enough to safely illuminate nearby steps and sidewalk. Runs cool to the touch unlike the other maker's dusk-to-dawn bulb that oddly ran hot for some reason - so this bulb uses the electricity to output light, not heat. I appreciate its smart detection of daylight: it powers on when dusk settles, and it powers off with early rays of morning sun. Especially impressive since my fixture is on the west-facing side of the house, and inside a frosted glass fixture (open to the bottom). Still it detects ambient light consistently and well. The artwork on this product page when I originally purchased made the bulb color look garish, oddly yellow tinted - but the product is not tinted, so don't be fooled. It's neutral and the bulb outputs a normal, pleasing, warm tone resembling incandescent lighting. Almost didn't buy, thinking it was some funky painted color, but, nope, it's normal and attractive. So for function, energy efficiency, pleasing color and useful but not overwhelming light output - and the multi-pack pricing, a nice deal - very happy. Hope this helps you shop.

I like that these bulbs work well. I'm not sure how long they will last. They automatically go on when it begins to get dark and turn off as soon as it brightens up. Main thing is to keep your light switch on in order for it to work.
