Excellent fit and quality is great. Bought after Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl perform. I know these aren’t the jeans he wore but saw on many pages these were comparable. The material and wash coloring are great. They look great and received many compliments wearing them out for valentines dinner. Great price as well.

Fit perfect. More thin than previous years. Glad they have small waist and long length.

It's hard to accurately assess this item because the product comes up as two different "names" on Amazon. In the past, my purchases have been for "Levi's Mens 527 Bootcut Jeans." Now, that same product link takes me to "Levi's Mens 527 Slim Bootcut Jeans." (Note the subtle addition of "Slim.") Numerous reviewers have noted this issue. My first three or four pairs were great! No issues. Five stars! They're - by far - my favorite type of jean. Since discovering the 527 line, I've become a Levi boy through-and-through. The jeans have a flattering fit, they're very durable, and they come in a variety of colors and styles. I have yet to find any jeans to beat them. That said... when I went to order more (January of 2013), I noticed the product's name changed. Even if I click the item straight from my past purchases (which has no note of "Slim"), it took me to "slim" 527s. Reviewing the jeans in my closet, I can find no note of "slim." However, there's very little note of anything on them - other than "Levi 527." Assuming that Amazon wouldn't simply change the product name, I went ahead and ordered two more. The pairs that I ordered seem noticeably smaller. I vaguely remember past pairs starting off "snug" before being broken in. After some stretching and washing, they eventually end up fitting perfectly! However, these new pairs seem much smaller than I remember (a.k.a. "borderline uncomfortable"). I'm giving them a shot to see how they shape up, but I'm pretty convinced they really *are* a different type from the first - hence the new addition of "Slim." Why it suddenly changed? I have no idea... The most recent order (the "Slims") also have no note of "Slim" on the actual product's tags, etc... Thus, it makes it impossible to know if they're any different from the past ones I've ordered. With clothing, there are so many factors. (e.g. In what country was this specific pair produced? Could it be a bad batch? Have a grown/shrunk? Etc.. etc...) Long story short... To my knowledge, I know and love "Levi's Mens 527 Bootcut Jeans." They get my five-star. I think there are some new slim ones running around. The slim ones may now be all that you can technically order via Amazon, because I presently see no other options for the "regular" ones. Stay tuned... =]

The Dumbo the Octopus, while kinda a silly name, has proven to be a rather even and pleasant coloration. The 1% elastane is noticeable but not particularly bothersome, though i could probably do without it. Now, if only Amazon's suppliers could begin stocking more 33x36 sizing. That would allow me to actually use these jeans with the Buckaroo boots I have sitting here without exposing too much ankle! That seems reasonable. Also it might be nice if their 517 bootcut jeans would include in their description the weight of the denim used and just exactly how they might fit. Otherwise it's only a guessing game when you're attempting to make a purchase and forcing one to play the purchase and return game. Which is rather annoying. As an addendum I would have to say that the sizing of this particular item (the Dumbo the Octopus, size 34x36) is difficult to trust. (item to item and again time after time) My first purchase worked out quite well, but with my second purchase of this same item and the same size didn't work as well. The inseam measurement was close to 2 inches longer and I could not wear them without rolling them up at the ankle. Something I don't really prefer doing. But I kept them, hoping that I could look forward to their shrinking to fit, which never really happened. It's all a bit disappointing and from the reports that I've read this is something which occurs frequently with similar orders of these jeans.

Bought my first pair of jeans online from here. Size was 32 X 30. The jeans fit great when I received them a little big from the waist as I am a size 31 for most pants size 31 fit perfect. I decided to go with 32 just to be safe. Love the pants so much I decided to buy more. This time size 31 X 30 which I though would fit perfectly. I was wrong. They fit Extra small and I could not understand why. unfortunately I bought two pairs and they were both way to small. Aside from being to small the material was way too thin than the normal thickness I know and love about Levi jeans. I thought ok maybe they just came from a different manufacturer and that was the reason why but I still felt cheated. I decided to buy another pair because I loved them that much and they were on Sale. As I was still a bit hesitant to make the purchase I decided this time to buy a 517 as I had read the description for the 527 that they were Slim fit and I through Ok maybe that is why they were too small. So there I went and purchased my 517 31 X 30 cuz you know I'm a size 31. Well I was wrong again. They were still Way to small. I quickly returned and them and decided to go back to the 527 because they are low cut and the 517 are not. There I go again with my purchase thinking ok I am done with the size 31 and will go with the original size 32 X 30 that I fell in love with the first time. Well let me tell you guys, I cannot be more disappointed. These jeans were even smaller than size 31 that I had bought before, they were also longer than a size 30. Incredible, how can they do this to me. I am loosing faith on a product that I love so much. As a troubleshooting technician that I am I had to find out why or what is the difference between these pants. My only conclusion I found is that they were all made in different parts of the world. See the Pictures. The first jeans were made in Cambodia, the second pair in Bangladesh, and the last pair in Haiti. This is my only conclusion on why these jeans are not the same sizes. I feel like I am playing the Russian roulette with these purchases, I will never know what I will receive.

Great fit, all sizes available. Good price. Would buy again. I love the boot taper, and I love the colour.

Levi 527 jeans are very comfortable and have a perfect fit.
