I'm 5'5 115 lbs and usually a size 27 in levis, so that's what i got. I got them in "lunar black" and "black deconstructed." Not sure why, since both of these shorts are really similar except for one of them has more rips in them (I can't remember exactly what i was thinking at the time when i ordered, but LOL I do remember feeling ridiculously torn about which ones to get!). Despite the fact that they're supposed to be the same size, the "black deconstructed" pair was too small for me (both too short and tight). They did seem to have a 2.5 inch inseam, so maybe they were just tighter in the waist and forced me to pull them up higher? I don't know, but they measured about 11inches long from the waist band to the bottom on the sides. They're really cute, but small enough that i had to return them. Still considering if it's worth ordering them in size 28 (since i'm keeping the other ones, probably not, but i also feel like i can never have too many pairs of shorts if i like them). The size 27 "lunar black" shorts measure nearly 12 inches long with a nearly 3 inch inseam. They weren't as tight as the other pair and fit me like normal. You wouldn't think it from looking at them though (i don't know if it's the cut or whatever, but they LOOK like they should be shorter than the other pair). I hate that they have a button fly (i find them so annoying!!!) but i like the style enough to deal with it. As for whether you should order up, Levis DOES advise sizing up with these. I ignored that, b/c I was worried that if i ordered these shorts too big they would look like a saggy diaper on me, but now i think one size bigger would be okay, so i say go for it. They are 100 percent cotton, so they'll loosen up with wear, but they could also shrink depending on how you wash.

I absolutely love my Levi’s 501 shorts! I got them in both dark wash and light wash, and they’re perfect for any outfit. The fit is classic and flattering, with just the right amount of structure while still being comfortable. They break in nicely over time and hold up really well. Whether I’m dressing them up or keeping it casual, these are my go-to denim shorts. Highly recommend!

These are my favorite Jean shorts and I have them in multiple styles. I have had several pairs for a couple of years and they hold up very well while also being comfortable. The color matches the picture fairly well and the sizing is pretty accurate.

Perfect all around jean shorts. They are a great fit, length and style. For a mom I thought they were a great length without being too short or long, just right. They are very stylish and long the fit.

I normally take a 30-31 in Levi’s - these run a bit small. I could have got away with a 34 and they would be loose but the 33 fits just right. There isn’t any stretch. I love them but not sure if they are too short or not. I may wear a long shirt over them but they’re definitely a good quality and comfortable. Run small. By 1-2 sizes is my guess.

I love the fit and they are so comfortable. I sized up because I want it not too tight on my thighs and hips. A tiny bit loose on waist but not a problem.

Super cute shorts, not too short or long. Yes they have the paper label, it’s the outlet style, hence the price. That being said they fit and look exactly the same so I’m fine with it. The measurements are weird In the pictures, I went with the measurements off the Levi’s website and I would say they fit true to size, they don’t have any stretch but they do “loosen” in the waste and leg as you wear them.
