I recently switched from a Google smart speaker to the Amazon Alexa, and the difference is night and day. Here's why Alexa is the clear winner: **1. This is my 5th Echo Dot and the first three are a previous version. I find this Dot hears me far better than the older units. It rarely misses my commands and operates perfectly. It is the same size as the previous versions so I could swap it into the old wall mounts, etc.... The sound quality is better too, although I don't listen to music, so take that with a grain of salt. Highly Recommended

Really good product does exactly what you'd expect and I think that's where I was very very slightly disappointed. It seems it's understanding is pretty limited but it's knowledge Is very vast and capabilities are also very fun. It can pick up your voice from a pretty good range and has good volume setting Maybe even too good. As for size it's very out of the way and can be placed virtually anywhere with a little flat surface. Altogether it's a good product my only gripe would be it needing a better understanding of the natural lingo in speech for all languages but that's a knitpick, overall very good product and worth the money to have a cool little person who can answer almost all your questions and even host some real fun game nights.

I'm somewhat technologically challenged, and this is so simple to set up. Basically I just plugged it in and made sure that my phone bluetooth was turned on (I already had the Alexa app installed). It really did just set itself up, and in a minute or so, it was ready to go! My husband and I like to listen to music a lot, even on low in the background when we're just talking and hanging out, and this little powerhouse is perfect for that. It's so small, and the sound is so big! The bass and clarity are unbelievable. I love how it has a light that glows around the base at different times for different reasons, and the color of the light indicates that reason. Just a couple of examples are if the light is blue, that means Alexa is listening to you and is ready for your command. If it's yellow, you have a notification of some sort so you just say "Alexa, read my notifications". She can even remind you to fill a prescription or let you know when there is snow or rain in the forecast if you'd like. I can't believe how wonderful this little gadget is and how affordable it is as well. I'm sold! Love it!
