Okay, let’s be real—the smell of this stuff is atrocious. It’s badder than bad, it’s VERY bad. It’s like the kind of smell that makes you question your life choices, but you know what? It works. The deer in my neighborhood have clearly had a buffet on my garden every night since the pandemic hit. But now? Not so much. I have a fence in the back, but not in the front, so I’m using this on my very stinky garden. My tip? Apply it before you take a bath or shower, because you’ll need a full cleansing afterward to get that "deer deterrent" aroma off of you. Also, reapply if it rains—those deer are persistent, but I’m more persistent! I’m on a mission to make my garden the least desirable all-you-can-eat buffet in the neighborhood. The deer will NOT be making any reservations here. I’ll be using this stuff forever—because no deer, no matter how cute, are getting a free meal on my watch!

This is my second purchase which shows the product has been working so far! While it does have quite a smell, I generally apply after I'm done with yard work for the day and then go in and shower. By the morning, I cannot detect the smell outdoors anymore. Since I have a heavy deer presence in my yard, I sprayed every week for a month and then monthly thereafter since last season. So far, I have been able to leave the nets off my Hydrangeas without the deer eating them!! They have also left my tulips alone. With all the rain we have been having, I am going to give the plants an extra spray.

I can understand why this would be an effective deterrent! Smells strong. But it mimics predator urine, so no surprise there. In my neighborhood we have deer and rabbits that eat everything. All spring and summer you can walk the neighborhood and smell this product everywhere. It is that strong, so maybe consider whether that will be a problem for you. On the delivery side, consider making it your only item if ordering through Amazon. Mine came packaged together with food items. Huge mistake and oversight by Amazon. Must have been a packaging robot, because no human would put that in the same box as food. Zero stars for Amazon packaging, but good deer and rabbits that eat repellant.

This is the first product of the type that works for me. A person I met on a Craiglist buy recommended the product and I gave it a try. We have some tulips in a small flower garden and deer apparently have reservations on my tulips just when they are set to bloom.....every year. Lost several and this arrived and I sprayed the last few I had left. No munching. I know my problem is with deer so it worked for them. I run into rabbit and chipmunk problems later into the summer so we'll see if it work for those critters

This stuff works. Live in the foothills of Colorado’s front range been using this for 5-10 years. Tried everything. We have herds, as many as 20 head, of deer coming through our yard daily. They mow every green plant, especially flowers, to the ground without this stuff. It smells when you first apply but that dissipates in less than a day. In the beginning of the growing season it will need to be reapplied every two or so when new growth appears. But later in the season it’s once a month for us. When in doubt reapply, they will come back.

This is a great product! I have used it several times and it works. I do have a problem though. I put a gate code on the address. The driver ignored the gate code and left the package outside of our gate, not near to or on the front porch!

Overall this product works fairly well. I have used it for 10 years to repel deer and rabbits from my hostas and impatiens. And there is practically no effective products of this type available, so there is that. However the concentrate does not mix well and many times it has clogged my pump sprayer (cleaning the sprayer with that awful smell is not a pleasant task). Further, last year when we had a draught it did not work at all since the animals ignored the taste in order to get the needed moisture that the plants provided. Lastly, it is overpriced for what it is.

Great product, just wish it would last longer on the plants. It is expensive and i could see some people getting turned off especially if applied and then it rains and you have to do it again. You can go through a gallon rather quickly. The product works by its smell as most critters are turned away. But if a critter is hungry enough the smell wont ward it off. I mix mine with spreader sticker or soap to give it more bonding to the greenery. I've had good luck but you have to follow the weather forecast when applying to get the most bang for your buck. Its not perfect but it is the best thing going that a consumer can buy over the counter.

I have been using this for a few months now. I can see deer on the camera by my hedge and they are not eating the hedge - so far so good and the hedge is growing strong which will protect it from the deer better than young shoots.

The product works for Australian rabbits which we are happy with. Purchased more only to find when opened the parcel that the items inside had been opened and not resealed correctly or they just popped off in transit. Most of one container has spilled out into the box which raised a few eyebrows in the local post office. After opening checked the supposedly sealed containers and the lids simply fell off with the inner opening seal in the lid area … should still have been sealed on the top of the container. For safe packaging the containers should have been in at least a plastic bag to ensure should this happen that the contents do not spill out. Otherwise the product works as a general deterrent to rabbits and as we have many birds in our garden can attest that the product does not appear to harm or deter them. I would like to hear from the seller regarding their packaging process to ascertain if it was their slackness upon dispatch packaging or Amazon Au or Australia Post in Botany who caused the contents to spill in the parcel box.

Bought it for my mother’s garden to get rid of rabbits. Followed the instructions and the rabbits are still there. Waste of time and money.
