This is the first children's book I have seen that suggests maybe you can't always achieve your dream, but there can be value in your contributions even if you fail to reach your goal. Encourages youngsters to strive to their best, but accept that falling short can still be meritorious. The illustrations are also lovely and appropriate to the text.

I really enjoyed this story for my young neighbors across the street. Well illustrated and understandable writing. A meaningful story!

A very sweet story that made a good Christmas present for my pre-school granddaughters. The illustrations are lovely, as well.

Undeniably beautifully illustrated with a sweet meaningful story. I like the message alot. Like some other reviewers mention, it's very wordy. There are a couple spots of improper grammar/word usage which kind of trips me up as I'm reading it, but I don't mind so much. It's still going to be a great addition to my sons christmas book collection :)
