I had the g700 for the past 4-5 years and the right mouse button finally stopped working. I was debating about what mouse to replace it with, and decided that I could NOT go back to a wired mouse. I narrowed down my choices to the Razer Mamba, SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Mouse, and the g900. My biggest hold up with the g900 was, of course, the big price tag. I mean, this sucker costs more than my headset! (Logitech g930). As you can tell, I'm a big logitech fan. They make good products that last me at least 5 years and have great customer support. But I wanted to explore my options, so I looked into the Mamba and Sensei mice. I nixed the mamba mouse because of software issues. If I'm going to pay that much for a mouse, shouldn't it work out of the box? Too many complaints of software issues and end user trouble shooting/tweaking drove me away from this mouse despite it feeling the best in my hand. As for the sensei, I liked the build, but I felt like the dock took up too much space. I like having a minimalistic desk space, and while I know I could have just not used the dock, but I didn't want to not use a part of the product that I was paying for. Comfort: I had friends who own each of the mice so I went over for a test drive of each one to see if I liked the fit in my hand. The one thing I didn't like about my g700 was that my hand would get uncomfortable after long gaming sessions (I use a claw grip - palm doesn't touch the mouse) because of the contour of the mouse. I really liked the symmetric design of the mamba and sensei mice (and the g900 to a degree). Seemed to fit in my hand a lot more naturally. I actually enjoyed the mamba's shape the best, but after using the g900 for a couple weeks, I am glad to say that it is a huge improvement over the g700. No hand cramping/fatigue after a 4 hour gaming session, so I am a happy camper. Build: It is a LOT lighter than the g700, mamba, and sensei. I had my wife try using my mouse and she said that the lightweight quality of the mouse made it feel cheaper. Personally, I prefer a little more weight to my mice but I definitely appreciate the fact that I don't have to use as much energy to move my mouse from point a to point b due to the weight. The left/right mouse buttons have a noticeably higher resistance than my g700. I don't find the higher resistance off putting, but some might. I don't play mmos, so the two thumb buttons on the left hand side of the mouse is enough for me. I can see how adding buttons to both sides of the mouse can cause issues with accidental presses for people who want 4 extra mouse buttons though. Look: Looks like an expensive mouse. I like that they weren't too extravagant with the design like they were with the g502. The customizable LED lighting is a nice touch (I think this is becoming industry standard for "gaming" mice), especially coming from the non-led g700. I finally have a completely matching set up with red/black. Setting up the lighting was very simple, but they only have 2 options: color cycle (it just cycles through its color spectrum, no option to pick colors), and "breathing effect" (you select one color and it fades that color in and out, you can adjust how quickly it does this). Battery: The lack of a removable battery is a huge adjustment for me. I was able to just swap out rechargeable batteries on the fly for my g500 so I wouldn't be encumbered by wires, but if you forget to charge this mouse, you're forced to plug it in. Charge is extremely fast, though. I believe I went from 0 charge to 100% in less than an hour (don't quote me on this though). I constantly forget to turn the mouse off when I'm not using it so I find myself needing to charge it every 3-6 days depending on use. I use my computer about 4-6 hours/day for reference. Tracking: This mouse is amazing. I have literally not had a single drop and experience no input lag whatsoever. Near the end of my g500's life, I noticed a little bit of hanging and (very rarely) some drops in connectivity. Some people report that the wireless response time is better than the wired response time. I have not noticed that. If you use the logitech software, you can actually tune your mouse to whatever surface you are using your mouse on, which I thought was really cool. Overall: Very impressed with this mouse. I do not regret my decision at all. Will update if anything changes.

This mouse has been one of the most satisfying purchases I have ever made after years of trying out top end gaming mice. I very rarely write reviews for products but this really is a 5 star product. I wrote this for the person like me who spent a disproportionate amount of hours hoping to find the right mouse for them, if your needs are similar to mine then you will absolutely adore this mouse. This is to provide context for people to see if you relate/align too (seriously not trying to humble brag, just for context): 10,000+ hours of very competitive fps play over the last decade in games like Doom/COD/Titanfall my avg k/d is 2.0+, a person with large hands, a fingertip grip style, preference for wireless (that makes no compromise in input lag), wanted a cool design that wasn't ugly/too colorful or kiddy. I've owned/tried/used the majority of top gaming mice over the last decade which were good but with problems/compromises: Deathadder (side glossy parts meant slippy grip), Ouroboros (too small), Sensei Wireless (side glossy martial slippy grip), and many more . Previous mouse for years was SteelSeries Sensei Raw (Still a great cheaper alternative to this but this is way better). I love this mouse, it just feels so right and fits my hand and play style so well. It looks cool without being tacky with its subtle lighting, sensor is incredible (no tracking issues or lift off or hardware acceleration). All the material feels great on all sides and top. Battery life seems to last a long time I just plug it in every few days. I could not recommend this mouse more highly, it is obviously expensive and not the right price point for everyone but if this is within your budget (it was a bit above mine) you should definitely consider this mouse. I am so impressed with the new logitech design Philosophy/team that I have just order their headset equivalent the G933 to try out and also the G440 mousemat. In addition to this, I use it for work on my iMac and the process for swapping over is simply switching the small usb dongle from the extended cable receiver into the back of my iMac. I highly recommend the free ' SmoothMouse ' application for the Mac user with a PC gaming background to get the right feel for mouse (like no acceleration/ change to windows style acceleration). Regarding using it to game on your Mac: although it will work very well out of the box the software does not support mac so you would need to configure the hardware dpi on a windows pc/bootcamp. I think this mouse could be overkill for mac only gaming, but if you just wanted it for the shape/features I do really enjoy it for the productivity but much prefer my 144hz monitor windows gaming PC for play. My first gaming mouse was the Logitech G7 many years ago, this mouse is a call back to the when Logitech partly dominated the market in the days of the MX518. Logitech have done a great job refocusing themselves over the past few years. I look forward to seeing what they come up with next. Feel free to ask questions and I will answer them, perhaps like yourself I spent far too many hours researching the best computer peripherals for me but now I have found my mouse for the next decade :)

i've used a variety of mice (almost all wired) in the past like i assume most mouse review reading people have. i used a non-gaming wireless logitech mouse for a while, switched over to the wired g502. both solid mice, but this one is an easy favourite. it's highly customisable with an obscene number of buttons (and a scroll wheel you can click left/right, because why not?), it works well, it's conveniently wired + wireless. there's a lot you can do because maybe you WANT a volume slider on your mouse you can have it you can do it. and it looks nice! you can customise the RGB logitech G logo to match your epic gamer keyboard. it's pretty light so you can just glide around your mouse mat doing 360s to your heart's content, though this isn't optimal for you if you like a mouse with some weight to it. i'm right-handed and not ambidextrous but i don't feel awkward using it. i've also adapted just fine to different mouse shapes in the past, so if a certain shape is really important for you then keep that in mind. i think physically it feels good to use, everything is responsive, tactile feedback is good. wireless is pretty much the best thing ever. i don't experience input issues or whatever so i'm very happy with the freedom wireless enables me to have. there's literally zero inconvenience and i plug the mouse in when i go to bed, though i'm pretty sure i've used it for 2 or 3 days without recharging and it still has the power to go on. i'm a trash goblin lacking desk space so i don't have space for a bungee and don't like tugging on my mouse cord but i like the braided cord either way. maybe my only issue would be that the scroll wheel is harder to push than on a mouse like the g502, you have to actually push it instead of just giving it a tap like with other mouse buttons, but you get used to it. this is an incredibly good mouse with more features than most people need. since i use my mouse for many many hours every single day of my life, sometimes gaming, i'm more than willing to pay a chunk of money for a gaming mouse that performs well. i'd absolutely purchase this exact mouse again. i can't recommend a wireless mouse or really any mouse more than this one. it is absolutely worth the money spent on it. i've only used it for about 5 months so far.

This is the sexiest mouse I have ever used. But you already knew that. The Lamborghini of mice, it looks exotic, I have never spent so much time looking at a mouse before. I came from a huge bunch of mice before this one, but some worth mentioning are the MX518, the G5, the G700s. The G700s is now up for sale to make room for the G900. Pros: (I won't bother you with the facts alone, cause you can read those anywhere, rather, I will focus on the sensations). - When you are using your keyboard, you get to admire the beautiful lines and colors on this mouse. You start noticing they hollowed out the scroll wheel to make it lighter and the reflection from your screen light on the gunmetal center piece on your mouse. Can't go wrong with 16.8 million color combinations of the logitech gaming logo on the back of the mouse. - When you put your hand on the mouse, it fits perfectly in BOTH hands. My hand is 17.5cm from base of wrist to tip of middle finger. The hand not using the mouse often gets jealous of the one that is. - Once moving, you notice how light and accurate the mouse is. I feel more nimble but I am probably not. The mouse feels like it will follow every little detail your hand makes. Despite it feeling light, it doesn't feel cheap. You are always in control as it glides smoothly on its 6 teflon feet over any reasonably good mousepad - You can choose the side button placements, and the number of buttons on each side of the mouse. I personally chose to use all 4 buttons. At first I thought it would be drag to use the two buttons on the outside of the mouse, but I am learning to love them. - Left and right click feels crisp. Your mouse will never miss a click. The sensation from the mouse buttons is like watching a professional do their job... elegant. When you hit the mouse buttons you get a crisp "click", no fuss, no muss. - Scroll wheel, takes a day or two to wear in (feels a bit "notchy" at the beginning), but once worn in (by 2 days of use), the scroll wheel turns perfectly. The plastic on the outside of the scroll wheel gives great tactile feedback. - Wireless use - Its a freeing experience. The braided cord is a nice touch (it is not folded in the packaging to reduce damage), but the resistance from the wire is noticable more on this mouse perhaps due to its light weight. It is something I detest so I prefer to use the mouse wirelessly if possible. With my basic everyday work/gaming I have never noticed any difference between wired/wireless connectivity. I have never experienced interference when using this mouse wirelessly. - Wireless battery life (3-6 days) depending on usage, charges in under 3 hours from 0%-->100%. Impressive. - Software is super easy to use (configures just about everything you would like about the mouse) - Best all around mouse. The mouse is great with work and play. You can set individual profiles and lightings for each of the programs you commonly use. Cons: (Very hard to find, this is just me being nitpicky) - Price (It is a $200 mouse, but well worth it IMO) - Lack of buttons, there are only 2 buttons on one side of the mouse, coming from the G700s, I wish there were slightly more buttons on the sides of the mouse, but it is not a deal breaker/end of the world for me Conclusion: Get this mouse if you have the money kicking around. It is a joy to use. The G900 is a grown up mouse refined for uncompromised user experience whether you game or not.
