Got this to be used as a rain drum for my friend as a gift. Has a plug on the bottom you can just take off and leave it outside or in the shower for a pretty wind chime sound while it let's the water drain out easily. Can be used as a regular drum too, as it has the drum sticks enclosed. Great value. Color was a pretty blue that reminded me of the sky or ocean. Very relaxing sounds. Fun gift for that free spirit in your circle.

I picked this up as a gift for my grandson and he loved it - and so did everyone else at the birthday party! This small steel drum includes two hammer and makes a wonderful, soothing tone - perfect for meditation of just playing for fun. It includes a songbook. It was a hit!

The tone to one note is off but I enjoy having it as a music item and plays beautifully. So far itβs been relaxing and a great conversation starter to my room area. Everyone gets to play it and try it.

Pros: Its a really cute size! The color is very nice! The sound is fair, very pleasant. The drum sticks feel like a good weight. Cons: The note markings, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and i are all just shiny stickers and are coming off rather easily. I thought they may of been carved into the drum tongues but they aren't. These do not affect the sound or performance of the drum but if you lose them it can be hard to play any songs by accordance to the song book.

I bought it for my patio to make music in the rain, but it takes more force than rain drops to make a sound. It makes good sound and I still like it. Just canβt use it for what I wanted.

It comes with a book of songs. It's easy to use and makes a very cool sound. It's not big but I like that. It comes with extra number stickers too if they wear off.

I had no previous knowledge of this type on instrument. My kids and I decided to buy it. We all love it. Ages 9, 12, and me (late 30s). So it's not for only toddlers. It's a fun instrument. We found websites that taught us how to play songs like Mary Had a Little Lamb since we didn't know most of the songs in the songbook it came with. But that's okay because it's fun to just experiment with. If you hit the tongue in the middle you get a clear tone and there is no way for it to be "out of tune" as some reviewers said. This would make a great gift for anyone who loves music. The quality is beautiful - it is really nice to look at - and the sound is relaxing.

This came with a few items that were not explained. It mentions tuning but not sure if something was missing. It sounds soothing not to be used with heavy hands. This was perfect for the 4 year old but all the kids wanted to try it the oldest being 12.
