Our family has read many of the Magic Treehouse Books in the past, which we've really enjoyed. It's the perfect combination of adventure and mystery that my kids love. However, I was looking for something a bit different to try and entice our 8 year old to do more independent reading after many complaints that she "just doesn't like to read". I finally stumbled upon the concept of graphic novels, and let me tell you, our reading journey has been much more enjoyable! Something about the words being broken up on the page in comic book format, and the pictures themselves - our 8 year old blew threw this particular series within two days. She was engaged, interested, taking the initiative. The best part is that this naturally came with reading comprehension, which was lacking previously. She was able to recall parts of the story in detail and tell me about it, without prompting. 10/10 would recommend!

My 6YO loves these! She is able to read them by herself with very little help! And she loves the narration! Keeps her interested and on her toes for sure! Wonderful pictures as well!

My 7 year old doesn’t enjoy reading chapter books very much, but now he wants to read the regular magic tree house series because he loved these comics so much! The books are good quality and illustrations are perfect. They’re great for new readers and it’s a good way to introduce the series.

My child absolutely loves these. This book series was a favorite growing up, and my child now loves it I appreciate the animation coming to life and how its comic book style. My son is dyslexic and has been able to read and enjoy these books without many issues. Please continue to make more .

Play Video My children enjoy the wonderful and vibrant artwork, while the storyline follows right along with the original chapter books. We have been sharing these as a family read-aloud, while my littlest ones watch the graphic novel and the chapter book (purchased separately) is read. The story lines up so well, it’s easy to see when the last line is to turn the page to stay in sync. These have made the Magic Treehouse series more intriguing for my young readers!

My reluctant reader started this series and read for FIVE HOURS in one day, by choice. I immediately ordered the 5th-7th books. She started the first book a week ago and is already on the 6th. I’ve seen a an improvement in her fluency when she’s reading aloud just because she’s been happily practicing reading to herself all week. I cannot say enough good things about these graphic novels.

I bought this set of books for a beginning reader. I read them first and enjoyed them but thought the vocabulary might be a bit advanced for a second grader - and I was right. This child will grow in to these books I am sure but they are more appropriate for an 8 or 9 year old.

Good for different ages

We have enjoyed reading the magic treehouse novels to our son. He really enjoyed all the extra pictures and just the new interpretation of his favourite stories.

Full package was nice

My son is an avid reader of comics and we read just about everything. This comics looks like a beginner attempt to make a comics in terms of combining visual and text. There are lots of pictures showing the same thing but 1 second later and no additional information. Sorry, I am just comparing it to Dave Pilkey comics lets say. Each picture in Dave Pilkey comics is full of new interesting information/dialogue and progress. The book itself is very good but this comics based on the book is not ...yet...Maybe there would be an improved version soon...hopefully

Looks like I had the same issue as the others. Torn plastic and damaged box. Also purchased as a gift, disappointing.

This purchase was a gift. The books arrived on time, but there was some damage. The plastic shrink wrap was ripped and one corner was dented. Disappointed. Too late to return and get another before Christmas.
