Fairly easy to assemble. Made of real wood instead of fiber board. Everything fit together snuggly, paint is good, no issues with assembly. Need a second person to help put top bunk on bottom bunk- but other than that the assembly can be done by one person. Bed is stable and strong enough to hold an adult in top bunk and on ladder. Overall good purchase for the money.

Looks great now that it is assembled. Assembly instructions are awful. I had to go on You Tube to see how to put the entire bed together. Also, it takes two people for several of the steps. Quality of product is a 10 though.

This is a great, conservatively styled piece of furniture. Well made/sturdy with good wood material, no funny smells on the natural finish. Looks great assembled and enjoyable by the kids

A friend and I assembled the Max and Lily double bunk and two triple bunks, all of which are identical in their part numbers and assembly process. The double bunk was top quality and easy to assemble, but the triples, although clearly the same in their parts and assembly, were not nearly the same quality, so beware the newer version of the double bunk may not be as high quality as the one I received. The directions are easy to follow if you pay close attention to detail. However, we assembled them in a different order so that we weren't trying to lift a completed bed into the air while fitting the legs onto the metal rods that connect it to the lower bunk. Instead, we assembled the top bunk in its place, on top of the lower bunk. We started by assembling all of the headboards/footboards. Each bunk is slightly different, so be sure to keep the pairs together. Then we connected the bottom bunk head and foot boards with the 2 long boards that hold the slats. We pushed the bolts in all the way to help hold up the long boards, then pulled the bolts out one at a time to screw them into the nut, using an impact driver. We fully tightened every bolt at each step. We stopped there, skipped some pages, and inserted the 5" metal rods into the tops of the legs, and put the top bunk's head and foot boards on those metal rods, on top of the bottom bunk. Then we attached both back guard rails at the same time by first hammering the dowels into the head/footboards with a rubber mallet and then guiding the holes in the ends of the boards onto the dowels sticking out. Then we attached the boards that hold up the slats, again pushing in all of the bolts to help hold it in place while we removed one at a time to screw the bolt into the nut. Then we attached the steel bar on the top bunk. Then the slats. Then the front guard rails. And finally the ladder. The double bunk took us 3.5 hours because we took our time to fully understand the directions and to sort all of the nuts and bolts into different bowls. I highly recommend using an impact driver--you can see in the pictures how tight we got the bolts. The beds are sturdy and beautiful. I bought 6' foam pipe covers and cut them in half lengthwise and duct taped them to the underside of the steel bar to keep the children from bumping their heads. I paid more for the Max and Lily bunk mattresses and glad I did--they are high quality and a perfect fit. Can't wait for my grandkids to come visit!

The beds come with 0 extra hardware. Which would be fine however it was missing one of the barrel nuts. When we reached out to customer service through the phone number that the instructions say to call, I was redirected to a web form. Filled it out with all relevant information and listed the single barrel nut as the missing piece needing sent. Received back a response asking for proof of purchase and that “Once I have that information then I can assist you further with a possible replacement.” Being in marketing and customer service for a decade myself, the fact that it is only a ‘possible’ replacement for something that costs most likely less than $0.01 for a bed we purchased with hundreds of dollars is ridiculous. So we have an incomplete bed with only the “possibility” of being able to finish building it thanks to Georgia from Max & Lily. And we are sitting on day 3 with no response since sending in the Amazon invoice. The bed quality feels solid, it looks good, instructions were clear and easy to follow, but the customer service and incomplete product will make me go elsewhere for the next 2 beds we need to purchase.

Purchased this for my daughters birthday and she was so happy. Very solid and relatively easy to assemble. It took us a couple of hours for my wife and I to put it together. We ordered ENDY mattresses for the bunks and they fit perfectly. Ladder is sturdy and easy for her to climb. Would definitely order this again. If fact we may order a couple more for our cabin.

High quality solid wood bed, with a gorgeous finish. Went together very quickly - except for the fact that 8 wooden dowel pegs DID NOT come with it, and they were needed to put the side rails on the top bunk. We were able to find a substitute at a nearby hardware store, but tack on 45 minutes for the shopping trip plus extra money for the parts... you can see why only 4 stars. Plus, although the majority of the bed is extremely sturdy, fastened with bolts, etc., the side rails for the top bunk are only connected with wooden pegs, and the only thing holding the headboards/footboard together along the sides are 4 bolts (one on each side, 2 top, 2 bottom). Not sure how solid the construction would be if you had these each as standalone beds (which it is advertised you can do), as I would think with constant getting in/out of bed there would be some rocking that would shift the head/footboard. All-in-all a fine purchase for our needs, especially placed in the corner of the room, and where others bunks we have purchased (2) are definitely sturdier/have more bolts for strength, this one has way better wood/finish. Also thoughtful that they provide wood veneer stickers to cover all bolt holes, if the look of the open holes/hardware bothers you (we're trying them out for now).

Very nice bed, good quality, I had a great experience with the seller: delivery was fast, seller was very responsive to my inquiries, very helpful overall. The seller will send you the upgraded version on the bed, the one with more slats.

Amazing product, backed up by outstanding customer support. When I received the bed, I figured out 2 pieces of legs that had cracks. Called the customer service and they replaced the complete bed. The bed looks sturdy although it took some time to assemble it. The instructions were clear. Kids loving it!!
