This vent phone mount works well. I previously had a phone mount that hooked to my air vent but it had two protruding legs for stabilization. That mount didn't work out because those legs kept sliding around and never stayed in place against the dash. This vent is different. Not only does it have a metal hook to wrap around your air vent louver but you also press this L shaped button on the bottom and it opens up a grip which also grabs onto the vent louver - in addition to the hook. So far, that has made all the difference. This thing is solid in place. It has not moved at all. The only downside is that it has forced the side-to-side vents behind it to squish and point to the right. So it did affect the air flow but that is a small price to pay, really. My phone attaches to the magnet on this mount and doesn't move around. The magnet on the mount is also good as I've taken all sorts of turns and bumps in the car and the phone has never fallen off. So I think I've finally found the right vent for my Toyota car.

I really wanted to love this cell holder, unfortunately, it did not work for me. The clip isn't adjustable to fit onto a little bit thicker vent. I can't use it but it may work for others.

This Magsafe car mount has been an excellent addition to my car when it comes to convenience and safety. The mount was straightforward to install and came with instructions on placing it into my car's air vent and tightening the knobs so it would stay secure. I like that the mount is so easy to move. If I ever need to switch or move it, it is so simple to remove. The magnet is also rubber, which I like to prevent scratching on my phone. I have enjoyed having this Magsafe mount in my car. It helps with driving, seeing my maps easier, and feeling safer when I drive. 5 stars.

Pros: * Small and sturdy - The mount only attaches to a single air vent fin. There's a rubberized clamp that pinches a fin, and an adjustable metal piece to secure it further by hooking the back edge of that fin. * Effective magnets - I had no worries about my iPhone 13 Pro falling, even though I keep it in a Smartish brand case all the time. Cons: The mount doesn't fit all vent fin shapes. Their little manual shows a few configurations. Even in my car the mount isn't flush with the vent so there's a little bit of shake. Otherwise, this is a great and convenient phone mount.

The phone holder was easy to install, but I do not like that it pushes my vent closed when I tighten it, which is a must to keep it sturdy. The other downside is that it catches fabric and dust that I cannot clean because it sticks to the surface. The phone does not move with the car's motion, so it works well.
