Very happy with this basket. Assembly was fairly easy (though I am also a mechanic by trade so take that with a grain of salt). You will need some basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdriver etc.) to assemble, but otherwise it comes with everything you need. My only complaint is that the anti-rattle clip U-bolt arrived with some damaged threads, but that was a $10 harbor-freight problem. It survived 3k miles behind a Subaru outback with no other issues and I expect to put another 3k miles on it later this year. It did make a little bit of noise going over bumps, but nothing outrageous and does change the handling of my vehicle slightly, but once again, nothing outrageous. It may obscure your rear license plate which, while legal in my state, may not be legal in yours which is why it comes with a license plate bracket. Also, this may block your backup camera, so you'll have to pretend it's 1999 and use your mirrors.

I contemplated getting this or a small trailer to increase my cargo space for camping supplies. I'm so glad I got this!! It was pretty easy to assemble (though some small details were not included in the instructions, so I had to look them up). Once installed, I got it placed in the hitch with no problem. I LOVE the lock it comes with - gives me more piece of mind about someone not being able to snag it off my vehicle when it's not loaded down. I was super excited about the extra-large cargo bag, but I didn't end up needing this trip. I was able to load it up and use the cargo net. This means I would still have plenty more room if I needed to use the bag. The fact it also comes with the ratchet straps is awesome! Driving with it on was so smooth, I couldn't even tell it was there! At stop lights, I would check in by backup camera and it was still there and secure. I really like the fact it has lights you can attach to your vehicle for extra safety. I chose this over the trailer because I don't have to get is registered and it is much easier to manage the cargo than a roof rack style. We are going camping again in a few weeks and I'm so excited to use it again! Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this product!!

You are done stop shopping this carrier is amazing. Everything is in the box from straps to the bag and net. All lights wires even tape was included. Great for road trips and is easy to install, or convert from carrier to stowed. Just buy it you'll be glad you did.

Take your time assembling it. Do not tighten all the bolts until you have it assembled. It does go together relatively easily. The rubber gasket around the lights didn’t stay in place and the assembly fell into the basket. I used black permatex and long zip tie to hold in place.

I did not open it but am very impressed based on description and with all the bells and whistles included. Unfortunately I returned it because just moving it into my garage Made me realize due to the weight and size I will not be able to install and remove it from my class C by myself. I would have loved to keep and use it.

It is a bit heavy so the box it came in did not hold up well. Both ends came open during shipping. I was missing a few pieces. They did send me replacement parts when I called about it. It works great!

I used it for camping equipment and daily storage of kitchen set up and storage bins. Loved having so much storage. Huge (in a good way). Was a pain to assemble. Really difficult to screw in bolts. Side walls don’t quite align properly so you have to ‘help’ them together. A little lopsided slanting to the left. One of the pins to hold sides down fell off on first used. Plastic clip on tie down strip broke on first use. Would still recommend at this price. Huge capacity. Rear door on my Yukon doesn’t open when cargo bag is full so access was difficult while on the road.

Doesn't matter how I try to set this up the holes dontxalign. Doing it the right way allows it to stay open but the holes are ⅛" off in the upright not allowing this to go into the upright position. Bought end of October but never got to use it for a month and change due to emergency surgeries. Soooo... now I'm out over 500 bucks and havexa hunk of junk that I can only use in the open position which is crap when driving with it empty. Love rhe item but not the cuatomer service. Terrible company that wouldn't even reply or suggest a fix. They just took my money and gave me junk. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There are better companies out there with much better customer service as well. So sad. Wanted this to work Did go together well tho 1 set of holes is just not exact, making it useless to me. Misaligned usually means installed improperly but that just isn't the case here.
