Purchased this cargo carrier for a recent road trip and it did not disappoint. It was sturdy throughout and the cargo bag kept all of our gear dry through the rain. The packing cubes are huge (20"w x 30") and they made it even easier to keep our gear organized. Love them! The carrier was very easy to assemble and to install on our hitch. I did have to reach out to customer service for clarification on the order of the washers. The service an communication I received was prompt and very friendly. Overall, this is a fantastic product with great customer support behind it. Good value for the price.

On time delivery. My work site's custodian assembled and attached the cargo carrier in about an hour. Locking the bolt was very tricky. Also nothing is on it and it rattles even with the stabilizer. There is plenty if clearance. It does not obstruct my license plate nor rear camera. Of course I have not loaded it with the cargo bag as yet. It remains to be seen if it will mean I'll have to use a license plate holder. Update to follow my road trip to SC. I drive a Jeep Renegade and believe the 48" to be the right width for my size truck. Turns out the anti-rattle plate was in the wrong position. Rattling stopped.

I am very happy with my purchase of the Mockins 48x18x6 cargo carrier for my 2016 Honda CRV. It came with everything I needed to pack and secure my belongings, such as four packing cubes, a waterproof cargo carrier bag with a lock, ratchet straps, a hitch stabilizer, and a hitch lock. It also included some wrenches for easy assembly, which took me only half an hour with the help of some YouTube videos. I had to get a hitch adapter separately to fit the 2" receiver on my CR-V, but that was not a big deal. The cargo carrier is well-made and looks great on my car. I love that it has a mesh floor that prevents things from falling through the gaps. When I had a minor issue, I called Mockins directly and got a friendly and helpful response right away. They answered my question and assured me that they were there for me if I needed anything else. That's what I call excellent customer service! I highly recommend this product and this company!

Easy to assemble and very strong. Nicely designed with clean welds. Rim rails hold cargo in place and provides for easy lashing points. Vertical offset gives additional few inches of ground clearance. They even provide a free anti-rattling clamp, and it works. The carrier can be folded to Vertical, but this can interfere with SUV rear hatch opening, so care must be taken. This carrier is so strongly built that you could easily overload it and exceed your vehicle's weight carrying capacity, so caution is advised. The included 4 cargo bags are Well-made, but I will never use them. Wish they had not included them and sold the carrier for a lower price instead. Ridiculous cheap stick-on tape reflectors detract from an otherwise excellent product.

It seems like a very well built unit. I was going by the measurements of 48x18x6 as being the inside, cargo area measurement but it is actually the outside. I needed 17.5" inside but it's only 16.5" inside. I now need to pack it up and return. The seller should update the description to include the inside dimentions as this is really the information shoppers are looking for.

I just recieved this cargo carrier which we bought for extra storage for the rv. We just put it together which is very easy took only a half an hour or so. instructions are very good. Quality seems to be very good. Will give an update after actually putting it on the back of the rv and using it. Shipping was fairly quick. So far i would definitely recommend this cargo carrier. We tried camping with our toddler last summer. Our car was packed and it wasn't a comfortable drive for any of us. For this year, we desperately needed to find a better way to pack our stuff for car travel. We thought of getting a small cargo trailer BUT they're too expensive, we don't have a place to store one, maintenance of the tires and stuff was not appealing to us, and I really didn't want to deal with back-in parking with a trailer. We also thought of getting roof racks and a roof rack carrier but it doesn't hold as much stuff and requires more than one person to put on and take off. Also, too expensive. And then we found this product. WHAT A FANTASTIC addition to our camping trip gear!!!! My husband put it together. He said it took less than an hour and wasn't hard. We love this product because it can easily store in our basement when not in use, it only requires one person to install it each time (unlike roof rack carriers), the 4 inner bags hold a LOT of stuff, and the outside bag did really well in the rain with no leaks at all!!! It easily folds up when still attached and not in use which is awesome. We made sure to pack the lightest things in the cargo carrier like our clothes and lighter objects while coolers or heavier objects were stored in the trunk. Another huge plus is you don't need the electrical of the car connected to it. One annoying thing that happens is when you're backing into a parking spot or going into reverse, the back sensor and emergency break might be going off which I found super stressful at first... until I realized that I could turn those driving assists off at the beginning of each car ride so that that my car wasn't screaming at me and emergency breaking every time I put the car in reverse. All in all, we are really happy with this product for our camping trips and road trips. It's something that we will use indefinitely and we highly recommend it!!!
