Other motor controllers have a good size heatsink on them. Was skeptic of this one as it does not have one. Seems to work great and has servo power pins, so they don't draw on your main controller board. It also has vout pin so you can power your main controller board. Makes for one connection to the battery. Want to get a 2 motor version but long wait.

This is a nice board for convenience, which basically just combines two 2-channel L298 boards into a single board. It has convenient JST headers, and although the board doesn’t come with any instructions, it’s well labeled and you can figure it out easily (and the seller’s pictures are pretty good). This board is also nice because it adds 2 servo control headers as well as a power output connector, and a 3 pin header for a mini volt meter (or some other device). It says its for Arduino, but you can use it with 3.3V MCUs as long as you make sure to use level shifters and take all the proper precautions with the power supplies. 5 stars.
