Dear All the Homo sapiens (humans) on Planet Earth:
I am a former United States Army's Airborne Combat Medic/Healthcare Specialist and a a four-time combat veteran of Kosovo (one deployment), Iraq (one deployment), and Afghanistan (two deployments). I served in the Army's esteemed 173rd Airborne Brigade based in Italy and Germany with more MoH (the Medals of Honor) than any other similarly brigade sized military unit of the Armed Forces of the United States of America (22 MoH to be exact due to fighting the bloodiest battle of the Vietnam War: "The Battle of Dak To" on "Hill 875"), as well as, loosing the highest number of Paratroopers (via combat related injuries and deaths) and earning the most categories of valorous awards during the "Global War on Terror" in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I have finally discovered the best personal finance guru in the entire Universe. The caring persona and superb communication of Ramit Sethi have always made me feel like I am his only client. Ramit's customer service has always gone above and beyond in reaching out to me for anything I have needed during his premium life-altering courses. His guidance has always made sure that my financial journey can, hopefully, one day pass the one million USD feat. I wish I can give Money For Couples seven stars. Nevertheless, Amazon permits me to only give a maximum rating of five stars.
Thank you very much!
Very Respectfully,
Retired Staff Sergeant "DOC" Ahmed

Money for Couples by Ramit Sethi is a life-altering book! Fantastic book with checklists, scripts, templates, rules, and the psychology behind many of our money behaviors and stories. Perfect complement to Ramit Sethi's first book, I Will Teach You to Be Rich, Money for Couples delves more deeply into the psychology of finances couples experience, provides insight into how to address issues, and offers templates, plans, and checklists for moving forward out of debt. Ramit also outlines how to save, invest, and save for large purchases such as vehicles, houses, vacations, and weddings. Specific scripts for handling money fights are also included. As did I Will Teach You to Be Rich, Money for Couples lays out a strategy for understanding money behaviors, eradicating debt, and moving into your next chapter: your rich life as a couple. If you're single, the lessons in the book still apply!

This book is life changing. I only got it yesterday, and I already read a few chapters and know it’s going to have a huge impact in my life and my relationship.
This is coming from a girl that until a few months ago had credit card debt (more than I care to admit) and horrifying financial habits. Ramit’s first book changed that, and now that I’m engaged, this is exactly the book I needed to plan for this next chapter. 🤍

"No one teaches you how to spend" was such a weird thing to hear. Thank you so much Ramit for teaching us how to wisely, lovingly and consciously spend money. The insights provided in this book helped me take a look at ME, from a financial decision maker perspective, that I didn't know I needed. It helped me to better understand my husband and us to be more empathetic towards each other. I am a financial counselor, working in a credit union in Chicago, so of course I thought I had all the answers on how our marriage money was going to best fit our lives. The pandemic happened, our daughter started college, my husband lost his job and I found that, not only do I not know where we are headed financially, but I didn't know we each did not have a single vision for our money, let alone a joint vision of what/where we want our life to take us. We knew we wanted to be together forever, but what does that mean! Money For Couples, has helped us envision our lives on so many levels, both individually and as a couple. We are still going through the book, which has given us a lot to discuss. But the step by step guided conversation pieces have made it easier and given us a place holder, when we need to step back and reflect on what we are learning about each other and where to go next. We are dreaming with purpose and specification, better than I ever imagined. I know my debt payoff date, and while it seems like it will take a long time (6 years), I know that will go by quicker than I think. And I have been able to figure out what specifically I enjoy spending money on and what is a waste of my dollars. I'm also learning how to not freak out about every penny spent on a meal or a sweater and to have grace with myself, as I let go of messages taught to me in my life experiences, that have me scared to begin with. Ramit, you are providing the kind of financial guidance I want to teach my credit union members, that come to me with money struggles and need for understanding of their bottom line. I highly recommend this book for couples, especially if you are looking at sharing your future together. You will learn about yourself and your partner in a unique way and set realistic goals, without judgment. Ramit's simple rules on saving will help prepare you for retirement (whenever in your life that will be), and help you give yourself a life until you get there and beyond.
