· Sturdy Construction: Multiple support tubes feature a scratch resistant, powder coated finish, while the rigid, thick MDF shelves feature a finish that cleans easily and resists scratches and scuffing. Each shelf is acoustically inert and does a fantastic job of dampening vibrations. · Open‑Air Design: The stand is designed with open‑air shelving for critical airflow, cooling, and ease of access to your components. Unlike most enclosed AV cabinets, this sturdy design ensures your equipment receives plenty of circulating air to prevent them from overheating during use. · Modular Design: The fully customizable, modular design lets you build your rack exactly as tall as needed. Start with the base and add as many of the shelves as you need. One set of steel support tubes are longer, allowing one tier to accommodate taller components. · Sturdy, tubular steel pillars provide incredible strength to support even the heaviest of components. · Perfect way to organize and display your AV components.

After looking through many TV/audio racks, I finally found this. Less expensive than almost all and matched the dimensions I needed (although an extra 12 inces width would have been nice, but that's just me...) Very easy to assemble with very clear instructions. Extremely well constructed. The only thing that would have been nice would be an extra foot of width and casters. Once it is loaded with gear and a TV, it is immovable. However the open access makes it easy to reach backs of equipment for connections. I am also wondering how essential the center upper shelf post is as it would be nice to dispense with this so a fairly large center speaker could go in there. Overall, very pleased indeed.

Very well made, heavy duty and good looking. Can be assembled in different ways. In my case I had a limitation on height and was able to install the feet directly into the unit without the five inch legs, reducing overall height. Thanks to the robust shelves, the middle post in front below the top shelf was also omitted, making the unit suitable for a center channel speaker in that location. See photo. It is rare to find a unit with big enough space between shelves to accommodate my tall amp and pre-amp plus the cooling fan units I like to have on top of the components. Very happy with it.

Well-made, looks great, and the bottom shelf has plenty of space for larger components. It was easy to put together and the instructions are decent, although a few written instructions would go a long way. There are only pictures but anyone with experience putting together stuff like this will be fine. It would be 5 stars except for the poor packaging which resulted in all 3 shelves with minor dents and chips on the front and back edges. It's not worth returning it over, and I'm very discerning. UPS probably shares the blame as it looked like the box was tossed around a lot. 2 corners of the box were ripped open several inches by the time it arrived, and 1 of the threaded rods fell out on my walkway when UPS wheeled it into my house. When I mentioned the box damage to the UPS driver, he shrugged and said it should have been shipped in a larger box. Anyway, I found the rod by chance when I walked outside later in the day before I opened the box and realized it was missing. When I found it, I assumed there would be much more missing. Fortunately, nothing else was. For anyone looking to put a center channel speaker on the middle shelf, I didn't install the center support between the middle and the top shelves and it's fine. I just put one of the screws used to secure the supports to the top shelf in the hole on the middle shelf to secure the center support between the bottom and the middle shelves.

I got a pair of these and made a jumbo double wide audio rack since I couldn't find any under about a grand. I got 4 huge casters at Lowe's and attached them to a double 3/4 birch plywood base that I bolted the stand on. It has enough room for a laptop or a TT on the shelves whereas most racks those items must be on the top shelf. I wish we could buy just the pillars and hardware to make our own rack but I can't find them. One company sells them but one set costs more than one of these racks.

Awesome shelves, built heavy and sturdy, easy to assemble, I bought 3 and custom arranged them into 1 super duty 4 level and then a 3 and 2 with the remaining parts....but the 4 tier super duty is bomb proof , I put together as a main stereo rack with all the 13 inch spacers and 6 pole braces, it's killer. You can stack this in a bunch of ways with multiple units, but it takes some figuring out to use all the pieces right. You can build 1 the way you want , then the others will end up working fine just a little goofy, bit still look and work great, great value.

The instructions are not good and comprise only pictographs with tiny details. The shelves look the same but aren't so you must use them in the correct order. As the three shelves are heavy you might not notice that to save money they're only finished on one side. Don't begin by looking at Step 1 but at Step 6. Otherwise you might progress to Step 6 before it's REVEALED that you've assembled the SOB with the three shelves upside down! If you even get to Step 2 without realizing the first shelf is upside down, the "finished" plastic coated side of the top shelf will have six visible rings inscribed on it from the tubular supports that you tightened against it. If you add the 2nd shelf before realizing the shelves are upside down, you'll wind up with two visible rings on the middle shelf as well. Furthermore, if you add the wrong length of tubular support at Step 2 and have to do it over, there'll be twelve almost concentric imprinted rings on the top shelf for all to see.

Great value for the $$; solid build quality, houses 2 heavy power amps & associated gear; would be great if Monolith offered wheels for this model (plastic sliders don't cut it)- would made connecting the wiring from the back much easier; hard to pull & slide forward once positioned.

Amazon CustomerReviewed in Canada on April 18, 2024

Could have been 5 stars but the lower shelf was damaged, probably by a shipping strap. Unfortunately it is on the front face. It’s not a serious flaw and my equipment is all installed so did not want to disassemble everything to return. Sent a note to the customer service folks at the manufacture, Monolith asking for their input on a repair scenario. The response was less than good. It thanked me for pointing out the damage and assured me they would incorporate changes into their future processes…What? Thanks for nothing. Please note this is not an Amazon issue. I could have taken all the electronics off, disassembled the unit repackaged it and Amazon would have taken it back. Very good av shelf at a decent price not supported by the manufacturer.
