Ordered two Monoprice 4K Pro HDBaseT Extender Kit - 120 Meters and neither one had the IR Transmitters or IR Receivers Disappointed as previous products ordered from Monoprice have been great and complete.

We had heaps of problems with Gefen extenders, as well as Tripp-Lite extenders that we had high hopes for and had to return because they just refused to work. This affordable extender worked far better, and has been stable for months. Not perfect, sometimes we need an extra reboot, but we have 4 of those in service here and are happier more than anything short of a $3,000 Adder fiber extender… Note: I haven't tested 4K or HDR10+ capabilities with those units. We use them (currently) to extend PC monitors at 1920x1080, 8-bit, 60Hz, 4:4:4.

I'm using this extender kit to connect a 4K television to my security camera server (PC) in another room, using 18-year-old cat5e wiring. It runs full 3840x2160 resolution at 60hz with 4:4:4 chroma (no compromises) with no discernable latency or quality loss. Not even a blip. It just works perfectly. The same network cable can't actually do 10 Gbps ethernet with perfect stability, but by my calculations, this video signal is a significantly higher bit rate than that unless it is being compressed somehow. Oh, and it works with audio too, of course. It is completely plug-and-play with no configuration. One slightly confusing aspect is that the kit only comes with one power supply. But that is actually a feature rather than an omission. You only need to provide power to one end of the kit, and power is carried to the other through the same network cable that carries the video signal. Clever. The only flaw is that about once every two months (so far), my TV won't wake up when I move the computer mouse to wake up the display (I do this many times every day). For all I know, that could be unrelated to the extender kit. Computers are complicated and a million things can cause an issue like this. I've always been able to resolve this by logging into the PC remotely and changing any display setting to get the video output to reset. What I should do is move the extender's power supply into the room that receives the display signal so that I can physically power cycle the extender kit -- I bet that would solve the issue just as well. (EDIT 2023-09-25: This continues to happen several times per year; power cycling the units does solve it).
