Works well with my Sony headphones and an optical cable to my tv.

I tested it in transmit mode using the aux input with various sources (including radios & phones) and various bluetooth devices (including Apple Airpods and a bluetooth sound system). It connected quickly and sounded good. I like the features and included cables. One bluetooth device did have some distortion at first, but when I turned it off and reconnected the distortion was gone. This was probably the the fault of the receiving device. Would buy again.

Basic product, it works. Although I only later realized that my TV and receiver have Bluetooth built in so maybe check that first. I like the simplicity of the controls. The included cables are garbage. The toslink cable doesn't even fit into the device. Works at 20 ft range.

I bought this to add bluetooth to my home stereo system, and it worked really well. The setup/binding process is incredibly simple, it's super easy to use, and the sound output is very high making it really nice to use. Quality seems more than adequate, it switches to aptX mode, which is the main thing I cared about.

It was fairly easy to pair to my headphones and it worked fine that first time, but getting it to reconnect is like a 10 minute process of turning on and off the transmitter and my headphones until I get lucky and they connect. Don't waste your money.

I’ve enjoyed Monoprice products for over a decade. I had purchased an earlier version of this product and was pleased with it. This is a substantial upgrade and I’m thrilled with it. Love the quality, ease of pairing, and consistent connection with an indicator light identifying each of the connected devices when connected.

I wanted to add Bluetooth capabilities to my Hisense Roku TV (The only wireless sound it supports is with Sonus), and this couldn't have been easier! The unit is small and can sit behind the TV. I connected it to the TV's USB port for power, and connected the optical cable. Now, I can watch TV in the bedroom wearing BT headphones without disturbing or waking my wife! Headphones detected and connected to the BT transmitter with no problems.

The cool thing about having multiple codecs/protocols availble is that you can choose one depending on your needs, which this device does not allow you. My headphones support both AptX HD and AptX LL (Low latency) but becuase HD is considered a higher quality protocol the box chooses it and stays with it. I needed to switch to AptX LL but there is no control for that on this transmitter.

Purchased this as my Audio Technica BT headphones only support low latency with the AAC codec. This will only receive AAC, not transmit it.
