The title honestly says it all and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best thing I’ve bought for my dogs so far. We are having the “extreme cold” that everyone has been talking about and it’s currently 12 degrees outside and dropping quickly. I put this paw balm on both of my dogs paws- the pads & the fur in between all the pads. I used a very thin layer of the balm. When I took them outside to use the bathroom, they were able to walk around on the ground with NO ISSUES. Usually after just a couple minutes they’re lifting their paws and crying, but not this time! My dogs were walking around and sniffing acting like it wasn’t even cold. The balm is very lightweight, not super thick. It has a very light scent and it smells amazing. The tub is small, but with how little you have to use, this is going to last me a while. I also like that it is natural and “lick safe” as my 9 month old puppy would definitely try to lick it off. This is worth every single penny spent! It seems to make their paws pretty soft and the dogs don’t seem to mind the balm at all. Highly recommend!

Awesome product. I was searching and searching for a product that would save my service dog's feet from the pavement in 120 degree heat. When i can't stand in bare feet for more than two second on my cement driveway, I shouldn't expect my dog to stand on asphalt at all, in that kind of heat. Hot pavement will blister, dry out, peel and Crack your dog's pads just as the pavement will burn your feet or hands is you stood on it while in the heat. The same is said for snow on a dogs paws. I researched dog boots but my "Seven" would not keep those on as she is always chewing at her feet or at any type of clothing we put on her. So i had to find another way to protect her delicate paws in this Southwest heat. I found reviews and youtube videos of Musher's secret. I ordered some from Amazon, 11qm jar to try it. Boy, is this stuff the bomb. It's very silky going on my hand and a little goes a long way. I opened the jar the first time took out a bit and attempted to put it on Seven's feet, she pulled away, but as soon as we went outside and trained she was able to tolerate the asphalt for a much longer time (10 minutes) instead of just a few seconds like the days before. This product dries with in 30 seconds of putting it on the dog. I slather it, between her toes, between the pads, and also rub it into the pads. I apply it about once ever four to five days. She tolerates it much better now and can walk with me for longer walks even when it's hot out. Because this 'mushers secret' dries onto the pads it forms a protective barrier between the pad and the asphalt. It also makes her pads stock better to the tile we have in the house making her slip less when she's ripping. She seems to know that this product keeps her from burning her paws. Our daughter also has a dog but sbe lived in snow country and is constantly taking her dog to the mountains to camp, hike or while she goes skiing. This product, when applied liberally to Dax's pads and between her toes helps her keep a barrier between the rocks and her feet when she goes hiking. The snow will also not stick to the pads or between the toes causing those annoying pad balks as we used to call them. Because this product seals out moisture and protects the feet is your beloved pet it also moisturizes keeping your pets pads soft and subtle like they are supoosed to be. Seven's pads have gone from rough and split in places to feeling as they did when she was only 8 weeks old, although quite a bit larger. I love this product and will definitely be purchasing more.

First off, this product did a great job protecting my dogs paws from salt and gunk they put all over the sidewalks in my neighborhood this winter. While it was hard to get her to cooperate for application the first couple of times, she grew to tolerate it pretty quickly. Unfortunately, she liked the taste a little too much and treated herself to the rest of the container while I was at work one day. While I could find plenty of information ensuring me this was non-toxic and would pass, there wasn't much information about what passing would entail....if you find yourself in the same boat and are questioning "is this normal?" (or are just curious about what could happen) read on for our experience. Key Takeaway: Yes t is non-toxic, but do yourself a favor and store this somewhere where you are SURE your pup can't get it. I arrived home from work to find my 50lb lab mix waiting for me at the door (normal) with a desperate look in her eye and a weird collection of chunky yellow...something under her tail (obviously not normal). She gave a high pitch whine and I immediately dropped what I was holding and took her outside obviously concerned about whatever this gunk on her butt was. She dragged me to her favorite poop spot and proceeded to shoot (yes shoot) a clear-ish liquid substance out of her backside in a few spurts, followed by a huge output of liquid stool. It was a giant mess, and really obvious on top of the foot of snow on the ground. I told myself I should at least attempt to pick it up which is how i discovered that this liquid mass of poo had completely solidified (like those weird fake vomit puddles you can buy at a joke shop) - my sweet dog had unintentionally created her first poo candle. When I got back to the house and attempted to wipe away the yellow clumps still hanging under her tail I discovered that they a) smelled exactly like mushers secret and b) left quite a bit of waxy residue. Knowing her tendency of rifling through purses/backpacks to steal chapstick it was pretty clear what happened and sure enough I soon discovered the 60g container of mushers secret open and licked clean on the living room floor. I was able to verify that this product was non-toxic very quickly and was assured that it would pass safely, but no one mentioned the possibility that passing it would mean that wax would literally seep out of my dogs anus. She never had an accident in the house - the wax just literally passed right through her and collected in the surrounding fur. This kept happening over the next 48 hours - I would get a whiff of mushers secret and grab a wet towel to try to wipe it away before it solidified in her fur. This was obviously an imperfect process, and was accompanied by a lot of scooting and 2 highly un-enjoyable baths where I somehow managed to convince my bath hating pup that sitting and letting my scrub all the gunk away from the fur surrounding her anus was the only way to end her discomfort. After a couple days of this and a few more (less dramatic) candle poos the process was finally over. When the snow melted a week later I found the wax "tracks" of that first liquid expulsion laying on the ground, and some birds were grabbing pieces to reinforce their nests. Pup enjoyed watching them, and I enjoyed the comedy of the situation. I told her it was beautiful that she helped make a home, but to please never do that again. Note: My dog ate a small amount for her size (50 lbs ate the rest of our 60 g container), continued to eat and drink normally throughout the ordeal, and had a normal frequency of bowel movements. Please don't take this in lieu of veterinary advise particularly if your pooch is smaller/ate a larger amount/has a more severe reaction/you are extra worried/etc. TL:DR - The ingredients in this product are non-toxic, but be advised that it may pass right through your dog and seep out of their anus if they ingest too much.

We used this product on both of our dogs’ paws. It has no-scent and it is clear. We used the wax twice and their paws are significantly smoother. It was well-worth the price. This one tub will also last for quite some time.

I’ve been using this for my dog’s paws for years and it works great. Paws don’t get dried out, and helps keep the snow from buildup in between the pads. Doesn’t hurt my hardwood floors either. I have given small amounts to friends to try and they all use it now. Helps in summer if have sensitive/itchy paws, too.

Appliqué 1 fois par jour avant les sorties sur la neige et la glace. Le produit s applique bien, il est légèrement gras et ne sent pas. Aucune gerçure ni crevasse des coussinets pendant la semaine de rando entre bitume/bois et neige. A noter que les coussinets de mon chien sont habitués à être mis à contribution par nos nombreuses sorties mais je voulais une protection supplémentaire pour la neige. Le prix reste toutefois un peu élevé.

Don't normally write product reviews but so glad I bought it as it's absolutely fantastic!I've bought other paw conditioners in the past which didn't make any difference but this stuff is a game changer,only been using it on my dog's paws for a few days now and they are looking so much better, small abraded areas are healing and pads are so much softer. It's a little on the pricey side but the results are worth it and I would definitely recommend it!
