I wish these were out when my oldest kids were coming up! This tablet is very easy to use, very kid friendly, sturdy, and lightweight. Not heavy at all and perfect for small hands! The volume is nice, loud, and clear. Very easy to set up straight from box. There’s plenty of great kids movies, videos, books, and games already installed on the tablet with kids plus subscription. You get the first 6 months free. My daughter is 2 and loves using this tablet. Even though it’s recommended for ages 3-7, it’s simple enough for younger ages. I bought my daughter an iPad and this tablet. She preferred this one over the iPad and I do as well for her. Great job, Amazon. Another thing and I’m done, the screen is very clear and colorful. Buy this now! Trust me your little ones will love this!

If you’re going to get a tablet for your toddler or kid, get this one! I love that it has two separate account options- one for you and one for the kid. It sends you requests if they want to download anything, and you can block apps or purchases. You can set screen time on it and it’s easy to use. My toddler loves his and has a ton of learning apps on it. It’s got a lot of storage and a full battery lasts us about 7-8 hours now with a bunch of apps downloaded. When it was new with few apps, it would last almost 20 hours! Dependable and great!

Loved it! Photos showing the Fire Kids 8 12th gen (blue case) and the Fire Kids 7 12th gen (purple). I was torn between getting the fire kids 8 and Kids 10 because I was concerned that there wouldn't be much difference on Kids 7 and Kids 8 but I am definitely happy that I bought the Kids 8 for my 2yrs old. The screen is big but not that big that it would be hard for him to carry it around comfortably. Seeing the kids 8, I definitely made the right decision. Its faster, louder, brighter, big enough and I was able to put our sd card as an internal storage which helped us on videos, music. Also sometimes it lags but only for a few seconds and it resolves itself. If you are torn, go get it:) It's worth it. I only put games and videos I approved. I love that its easy to use for my 2yr old and that I can totally control the content my toddler watches/play.

Perfect tablet for my little! She’s able to work it fine. I can also monitor it! It is lightweight. The screen is good and bright. It has all the apps available that we need. So far it’s been durable to survive my little. Haven’t ran into a problem with the storage capacity.

I wasn't sure if this would be beyond the capability of my 5-year old grandson, but, I'm old and failed to realize that he was very capable and already computer literate. He opened it at my Christmas gathering, had his Dad activate it (and associate it with his Amazon account), and was deeply engrossed in it within 20 minutes. He has been on it all weekend since getting it on Friday. The games appear to be age-appropriate and he truly loves this device. It is a great alternative to an iPad and is very rugged in its case. I highly recommend this as an excellent pad at an excellent price. Note: You should charge the device, without setting it up, before giving as a gift. If you are giving it to someone who lives in your own household then you can have it 'Associated with your Amazon Account' when you order it. Otherwise, do not associate it with your own Amazon account when ordering. Note: I also ordered a MicroSD card to insert it this device but it is not required. I just know that more memory is good.

This tablet is great if your child is ready for the next step or you just need to distract them for a little bit. It is durable and easy to use, it's a great value for the money. The only reason for the four stars and not five, is the software requires parents permission for new apps, which is great, however you cannot log into the Amazon kids app to approve it, you have to wait for an email and go through a process. If they streamlined it a bit so I could simply use the app amazon had me download, it would be five stars.

Click to play video I purchased the Amazon Fire tablet for my 2-year-old son, and it's been a game-changer! As a parent, I was hesitant to introduce screen time to my toddler, but this tablet has exceeded my expectations. The tablet is designed specifically for kids, with a durable case and a user-friendly interface that's easy for little hands to navigate. The content selection is impressive, with a wide range of educational apps, games, and videos that are both fun and learning-rich. I just linked it to my Amazon account and downloaded the app I want. I love that I can control the content and set time limits through the parental controls. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my child is safe and engaged in a healthy way. The battery life is also impressive, lasting up to 10 hours on a single charge. The display great size for movies and is vibrant and clear, making it perfect for watching videos or playing games. Overall, I'm so impressed with the Amazon Fire tablet for kids. It's the perfect introduction to technology for my toddler, and I feel confident that it will provide hours of entertainment and education for years to come. If you're looking for a first tablet for your toddler, look no further than the Amazon Fire tablet. It's a great investment for your child's education and entertainment.
