This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. It’s a book of friendship, love, loss, and forgiveness. The characters felt so real, like I was a part of their story. It really touched my heart.

Talk about a whirlwind of emotions. As a mama, this story is soul crushing. Heavy and heartbreaking but somehow beautiful all in the same. This book really taps into all possible emotions; the joys of motherhood, grief, anger, young love, unfathomable heartbreak.. a read that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through.

Wow! What a beautiful meaningful story of love, loss, forgiveness. Written with great compassion. The characters are beautifully defined. The story line is so real for any parent. Amazing book.

I love this book from the first chapter! A forever friendship forged by the likeness of being the odd man out. A yearning for a family that you never had. A connection that only twins can have. A mother who lives and lives her children so much that she worries and questions every choice she makes. A tragedy that treats it all apart!
In the end, only LOVE can bring healing and the start of a new beginning.
This story is written so well. I felt like I was there right alongside them. I could feel everything they felt. It cut straight to the heart. Highly recommended!

I’m very new at this review or commenting. Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I think into part two I weeped till the last page. The empathy was unavoidable. It’s a story that has affected and could affect any one of us. And experience can make us aware of how quickly our lives can be changed forever. Each character has different ways to grieve. Shows us the strength in each one to cope with grief and letting go..

Nightingale by Kristin Hannah is my favorite book of all time, which is what led me to dive more into her writing and pick out this book. I will say, during the first half of the book I was not super impressed because I felt like it was just a predictable high school love/friendship story that ended in tragedy. But as the story unfolded further, there were some elements that I truly did not see coming. She was able to portray how ugly grief can be and how it affects different people in unique ways. She did a great job at garnering my sympathy for a character that turned to be pretty hate-able. This book definitely takes you on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster so I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys an easy read that also makes you feel something.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting.
It hit just about every emotion from joy, to anger, to sadness and everywhere in between. I was totally invested in the lives of these people, and the ending was perfect.

This book took my heart and stomped on it only to repair it by the ending. I was warned that this was a heart breaking book and it was. The tears would not stop flowing. It was beautifully written and I will forever hold a special place in my heart for this book.
