I read the reviews before purchasing and everyone is correct about the thermometer not working, but I have noticed that if you follow the cooking temps and times that are recommended everything cooks very well. So far I have air fried pork chops, I have air fried homemade potato wedges and I grilled a few pieces of chicken. Everything came out really good. I was especially impressed by how well it cooked the meats. The pork just melted in your mouth and the chicken was juicy and delicious. The potato wedges were crispy and cooked perfectly with the recommended time and temp. I have seen a lot of reviews saying it's not a smokeless cooking experience but if you read the instructions it clearly states you should not use cooking oils such as olive oil or vegetable oil for a smokeless cooking experience. I tested it out by coating the pork and the chicken, very lightly (tossing them in a bowl) with olive oil and I had a smokeless cooking experience. So I assume people are just using too much oil if they are getting a lot of smoke. The machine it's self is slightly smaller than my small microwave, so it was a little bigger then I expected. I would say it's easy to use when the instructions are read properly. I've always had trouble cooking meats on the stove top, they never come out perfectly. I would recommend this for air frying and grilling especially if you're someone who is not particularly good at cooking meat. Update: I have been using the machine for a few months now and I had noticed anything, like meat that is very greasy will make the grill smoke heavily. I recommend cleaning the top circular smoke screen after every use for a smokeless experience. It is hard enough to clean after one use but I have noticed that they sell extra smoke screens on here so they can easily be replaced if not cleaned. I have also seen inserts for the bottom pan that I'm seriously considering purchasing because if you don't have a dishwasher cleaning this machine after use is a bit of a chore. I also recommend using the grill brush that was included. Trying to use a regular sponge on the grill makes it nearly impossible to clean properly. The grill brush makes it so much easier.

I saw this Ninja XL 6-in-1 on Prime day for a great price so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I've had it for several days and have used it in some capacity every single day now. It's easy to use, preheats fairly quickly, tells me when to "add food", and the settings are easy to use on the front screen. I'm still figuring out how to convert the temp/time on food packages to what the Ninja settings should be, but I've learned that the temp setting should be lower and the time to cook is shorter than package instructions. For example, tube biscuits that per package instructions take 13-17 minutes in a regular preheated oven only took 8 minutes in the Ninja. Cleanup is a breeze and so far, nothing has stuck to the baking pan. The odd thing is that there is NO temp setting between 375 and 390 so that leaves somewhat of a trial & error mission when deciding which temp to set. It's a little bigger than I had thought so I had to rearrange a few things on my counter, but I know I'll use it regularly so it will stay out. I plan on buying some accessories to go with this because I think it's so versatile there's probably not much that wouldn't work in here on either roast, bake, broil or air crisp. I'm only cooking for myself, but the surface area and air fry basket are large enough that it would accommodate a larger family for fries, burgers, chops, etc. I love this and I'm so glad I purchased it. I definitely wouldn't have paid the regular price but if you can find a deal on it, I wouldn't hesitate because I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's a great little grill/fryer/baker.

The air fryer has so many options, you can air fry, bake, grill, broil, dehydrate and roast with it. Air frying gives a nice crispness to the item you can adjust the cooking time if it needs more or less, great for crispy fries within minutes. It is great for grilled pork chops, with the thermostat inserted in the meat as cooking you can cook to desired level. I have loved everything I have cooked in this thing. We are a two member household and maybe one or two extras at meal time. The tray is big enough to have a hearty serving of for example- fries for 4 people. I do like to use tongs with it to move the things I am cooking around for even cooking. Easy to clean trays and I have inserts that I place food in to help lessen mess. Con - it takes up a bit of counter space, so if you have a small living space it is something to consider, unless you have an option to store it away. Make sure to check out the dimensions. One of the best purchases I have made for the kitchen for a long time!

I absolutely love my Ninja Foodi! So far I've only grilled turkey burgers from frozen patties, and air fried a variety of foods, but I am definitely pleased and impressed. The turkey burgers grilled in half the time it used to take with my previous air frier oven and they came out way better! I was also very pleased with the results of air frying. I purchased third party parchment liners for the air fryer basket and they made cleanup a breeze! My only complaint is from the pictures on the Amazon product page, it looks like there is a mini fryer basket that sits on top of the grill that allows you to grill and air fry at the same time, but there isn't one...I assume it's a separate purchase item? Don't let that stop you from purchasing this though...especially if you can grab it for the sale price around $150 or less!

Absolutely love this machine!! Haven’t used the dehydrator function but the air fryer is awesome and has a fairly large basket. I previously had an xl ninja foodie and was worried this basket would not be big enough, but it is (for a family of 4). I love the grill!!! I will say that, if you cook your meat according to the included cooking guide, it will likely be over cooked. It definitely took me a little practice to learn how to cook my steak the way I like it (medium well). I don’t ever cook my steaks on “high” heat as they suggest, but always on medium heat to “well done” and they come out perfectly with some pink inside. For someone like me who has never barbecued anything in my life, this machine has been so worthwhile!!! I highly recommend!
