Love this! I got this because my friend fell sick not too long ago, I used this for the first time and luckily they didn't have a fever, but was still hot. I even used it on myself a couple of times because of how hot I felt and had a headache. The brightness is good and easy to read. The only noise is when it keeps to let you know that it read your temperature and it's not that loud. The size is great for you to store it anywhere! It works really well! I don't know about the orange and red lighting because no one's fever has gone up that high yet, but the green light is nice and bright!

This is a review of the FC-IR202 thermometer. I Just received this and I am impressed. It has meaningful instruction written in proper English. Better than I can write after using computers so long. It comes with quality shrink wrap and a QC seal. My forehead temperature was 97.8 which seems about right and the temperature of the wall next to my new thermostat matched the thermostat. It has easy to use memory, body and house modes. Thank you Amazon for a good product. This is not a compensated review.

I feel like it’s pretty hard to find a thermometer that is no touch and still reliable. This device was both. We’ve had a great temperature accuracy with this device and it is so easy to use. We haven’t had to change the batteries at all so it has a really high battery life. It is held up to toddler so it’s definitely durable. And overall it’s really light weight and compact.

Very happy with this purchase. Displays temperature less than 2 seconds. It is accurate based on my normal temperature and also when I ran a brief low fever post surgery. Very handy a quick check. Easy to use. Completion tone isn’t annoying. Seems durable enough. I like to have two thermometers available, one in each bathroom. My old standard oral (slow) thermometer to verify accuracy of the this quick contactless one which again is very accurate.

Once you try this product, you will not need any other thermometer in your home. Although I use it for health reasons, it's all good at taking temperature of appliances if you suspect they are overheating. So it's a health tool and a home tool.

I am not lying when I say I have tried no less then 10 different thermometers like this kind over the years Not just from Amazon but a lot of sites. We bought both name brands like Braun and non brand name ones. None of them worked for any period of time or worked at all or were at times not even accurate. I only purchased this meaning to send down to my daughter in law because my grand baby was going to be having surgery and she has to keep a record before and after of her temps if any but I honestly didn’t have much hope that this would work and she would have to use the dreaded old fashioned kind. I got this and held out hope that I put the 2 batteries in correctly ends up I found this is so easy to use and I was so happy it worked. I used it over a 3 day period on myself and my husband, also on Items around us and even the dog and cats and it was all appropriate to what the under the tongue one showed. YEAH we have a winner. I gave it to my DIl and she was so thankful because there is nothing worse than having to stick a thermometer where the sun don’t shine on a little sick child. Plus its a nice color pink which matches her bedroom. It’s accurate, is easy to store in its original box that it was sent in is sensitive enough to pick up a high or low fever, is easy and comfy to use and depending on the amounts of time you use it that will show what the battery life will be. We are all happy with this purchase.

The display and battery life have no problem, but the accuracy of the temperature is not always right. I guess it may depend on the distance or what part of the forehead you are holding it for. But the numbers would not be completely off -- treat it more like a range.
