I bought this machine Open Box, it came packaged with styrofoam in a generic brown box with Styrofoam. It looked undamaged to me. So no foul. The sticker on the top of the machine said to leave it upright for several hours before plugging it in to allow for refrigerant to settle. Since I didnt need it right away, I stored it in my pantry for a few days. When I took it out a few days later and plugged it in, immediately the fans started whirring pushing out air, so I filled it with water to the fill line and walked away. Yet here we are hours late and not a single ice cube has been made. I think I was sent a faulty machine.... Update (9/22/24) - The company saw my review and got back with me offering to send me a replacement and to make things right. It took a week, but I got the new unit and it works great. The ice is perfectly chewy, and due to the cubes being so small, the increased surface area cools drinks incredibly fast. I've been using it for the last 4 days non-stop to ensure there arent any issues. And I have to say, this was a fantastic purchase. I think my original unit mustve gotten damaged in transit somehow, but the company was friendly, hassle-free, and worked quickly to fix the issue and send me a new unit. Thus, I'm ammending my original poor rating to reflect the excellent customer support and my happiness with the replacement unit. I'd definitely recommend this product to friends and family!

Pros: Attractive design, dispenses lots of ice is relative short time (about 2 1/2 hours for two cycles), easy to drain water Cons: Requires a dedicated plug so you have to unplug another appliance (for me it's a microwave); takes up a fair amount of space as you are supposed to allow 6 " around when in use; ice should be placed in freezer in zip lock bag as it melts too fast kept in the machine; since ice is not completely frozen when put in freezer, it necessitates breaking up the ice in the bag with a mallet or something after it has had a chance to freeze completely. Conclusion: This icemaker is great, and the minor inconveniences are not a problem for me, especially as my Samsung icemaker has broken three times and I am not paying another expensive repair bill.

After two months this loud squeaky sound started happening. Too late to return. Can only use it if you’re okay with a constant screeching. Also , do not bother with the extended warranty. Asurion extended protection. They make it impossible to get a replacement on any help. In the system no mater how many times you enter the accurate information you get an error message. Their chat doesn’t work and the phone automated system is a joke.

I’ve been itching to get one of these since my “bullet” ice maker died in August. Price and size were big concerns as most of the ones I saw were huge, heavy & ran about $500. Size and weight were important to me as my unit is used mostly in an RV. This unit was reasonably priced on Prime Day and so I took a chance - but what I didn’t pay attention to when ordering was the size & weight. I’m happy to report that the dimensions are about 1/2” smaller than my old unit and the weight difference is negligible as well. What I love about this ice maker: It makes a lot of ice, and very quickly, and the size & texture of the cubes is great for most cold beverages. Unfortunately, the speed of ice making means the storage bin fills up very rapidly so you’ll have to be attentive and empty the bin at least once an hour or it will shut off. Another minor issue is a relatively small water reservoir so you need to refill often. Because of needing a small footprint appliance for my RV, this is a compromise I am quite willing to accept. I enthusiastically recommend this product as it meets my particular needs, which may be different than yours.

Got this end of September 2023, received it in October 2023. It has been making some God awful noise and won’t make ice. So we followed the self help resource on the website for trouble shooting, and it’s making even worse noise! Addendum: So I reached out to the vendor on 9/19/2024 through Amazon. The vendor wrote me back promptly, and asked me to write the manager, a woman named “Nina” at [email protected]. I didn’t think that was safe, since the link had some Chinese characters which I didn’t understand. So I reached out to Amazon again and reported that. And I’ve heard nothing since. I hope the vendor is still going to honor their 18 months warranty.

It was delivered June 4, 2024, on July 26, 2024 it stopped working. The ice was great and loved it while it was working. I followed the instructions on what to do when it stopped making ice, but still not working, of course it is after the return deadline. Loved the ice but would not purchase again, it should last way longer than a little over a month!
