I purchased the $129 board with no speakers, just wanting to learn how to start mixing tracks for fun. It's a purchase I've been sitting on for over a year now and I'm so glad I chose this board to use as my first one. It's very beginner friendly with a full downloadable program, instruction manual, and thousands of YouTube videos to teach me how to use the more complicated features. I like that I can just play the music from my laptop speakers and not have to buy anything fancy. DJing is not something you can just pick up doing, but I feel like I'm already doing such a great job. There are a few additional purchases I've had to make for this that maybe other beginners won't think about. For example: -A USB to USBC converter for my Mac. It cost me about $30 with tax and I just grabbed it at the grocery store. -The SoundCloud+ subscription. If you're already an Apply Music user, you should have thousands of songs to choose from. However, I prefer Spotify as my personal streaming platform, so I tried the SoundCloud+ subscription knowing I could find a much bigger space of mixes on there. It's $10 a month additionally though so I don't know if I'll keep that for long or make the switch to Apple. No problems with this baby so far tho!!! Love it :)

Stroller is incredibly lightweight and easy to travel with. It is also really good quality and extremely trustworthy when it comes to keeping your pets latched in. Definitely happy I found this.Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2024

So I read a lot of reviews and was hesitant. I saw mixed reviews but I saw a lot of reviews on how it was decent for the price and if you’re a beginner. I am a complete beginner to DJing and have not touched a board in my life, I was extremely excited to get this one and start going at it. I will say my review is an honest 4/5 stars after 24 hours. It has been easy to navigate the board and know the basics, it’s a lightweight board that’s maybe 18” so it’s not your big fancy board and some that knows what they are doing might think this board is too simple. For beginners this board is a lot of fun it’s super cool and the lights on it add to the show. The hardest part is finding a software that works for you and finding out how to link the board to the software, for me VirtualDJ has been the best so far. Anyways, for beginners this board is perfect and should last a little bit before you wanna advance up to a new board.

What can I say, this is a great novice mixer. In college I was a Technics MK1200 and Numark guy. That was a super long time ago. Having experience with Numark products it was a natural choice when I wanted to get back into mixing AND teaching my 10 year-old how to spin the virtual wheels of steel. This console hasn't disappointed. BUT oh I wish I had researched all of the software that claims to be compatible. Here is the short story: not all software is compatible with the computer operating systems listed. Saying the software works with MacOS or Windows 10/11 is slightly misleading. The software may be generally compatible with an OS but not specifically compatible with that OS on a particular computer device. The sound card may not be supported, or you may need more RAM, or in some cases the chipset isn't supported. This was a WTF moment for me. I tried every software platform that is claimed to be compatible with this mixer and found hiccup and glitch time and again. I advise knowing the software's system requirements before buying any mixer. Then once you know your device will work with the software shop for a board. I'm very happy with this mixer. But I'm not happy that to get the full experience of the available software I had to buy another computer. That was my solution. There are other solutions. I personally like an excuse to get a new computer. But not everyone wants to make that kind of investment for a starter mix board and a basement hobby.

Bought this so I could do a Sock Hop for our HOA's Social Committee. It's easy to set up and is immediately recognized by my PC laptop and the DJ software that I am using. Serato DJ Lite is included with this controller. However, I am using Mixxx DJ software and it works very well with this controller. The party lights only work with the Serato software if you want them to change with the beat of the music. I just turn them off. The scratch pads work smoothly, but have just a little bit of 'bounce' when trying to cue up a track: You cue it to the exact spot you want, then when you remove your finger, it 'bounces back' a tiny bit. It's not significant, but if you were a pro it would be quite annoying. For the amateur, it's really not a problem. I wish the cross fader had a touch more resistance to it to make slower fades a bit smoother. But, again, for an amateur, it's really not a problem. This controller is fun to use, and if you are just beginning to DJ it's a great learning tool for a very low price. As you advance, a more expensive controller with more features and higher quality components will be appreciated even more.

Well this is the first console I got, with an intent that it would be used by kids to have some fun but I must say it's been a surprise package. While it's onboard lights and speakers has more of fun value than really tho the speaker delivers output similar to an Alexa dot, however It promises to be a potent mixer with right set of speakers. The quality and feel of the pads etc feel really solid for the price point. Coming to the worrying point for most buyers-The fact that you use the mixer with Serato DJ lite and need subscription/s to either Tidal/SoundCloud/Beatport to get latest music to mix, which is a recurring and expensive investment if you need it for casual mixing- which is where most reviews criticize this mixer, however you are in luck as DJ lite allows you to use music that you have on your laptop/HDD which is a lifesaver! So find the source to get the right quality music download and your are set to have a blast! Not much help is readily available in the box, though Serato site does provide some pointers for the ones with some experience in space of mixing. However I was able to figure out most of the stuff by Googling/Youtubing. So all in all I'd say a sensible buy for some casual DJing fun ! Go ahead Bring the house down
