I waited a few months to review this air fryer, and I can now say it's a 5-star product. Manual buttons are easy to use and the pre-programmed buttons are actually useful. It is SO quiet sometimes I'm worried it got turned off, but it cooks quickly and thoroughly. I wasn't exactly looking for this feature, but I really like being able to see my food cook through the glass and it's actually saved me from burning or overcooking quite a few dishes. Switching to non-toxic kitchen items gets expensive, fast, so we took our time shopping for a new air fryer and this was the right price point and a fair value for the amount of machine I'm getting. We are cooking for a family of 5 and the basket on this can reasonably hold a full bag of fries or nuggets (just needs to shake a few extra times and add a few minutes on bake time) and enough chicken breasts to feed us all. The glass *will* be hot while and right after cooking so users need to take the obvious precautions to stay safe, but not in any different way than a hot water kettle might get hot and need to be away from little fingers. I have not had any issues with handles being too hot to handle with kitchen gloves or anything at all melting. Everything washes up VERY easily in dishwasher. This is a huge upgrade from my last namebrand air fryer that was made of questionable materials, was a pain to wash, and took up way more space.

"Fry Basket" which I will refer to as bowl is about 8 inches across at the bottom on the inside. There is just over 4 inches between the TOP of the grate and the top rim of the bowl. There is about 4 3/4 inches between the actual bottom of bowl and rim of bowl. The inside bottom of the bowl is smooth. The outside bottom of the bowl is what I would call dimpled. I purchased Vailnd 8 in. 5 – 8 qt. liners for this Nutrichef 5.8 quart Air Fryer. The liner description indicates these are 8 inch liners. I measure about 7 3/4" across the inside bottom. Paper is thin. They do fit the Nutrichef 5.8 quart bowl ok. Some users talk about the liner being blown out of position by the fan. One way of dealing with this with the Nutrichef 5.8 quart Air Fryer would be to place one liner below the metal grate and one above the grate and staple the two together. NOTE: I would recommend the "long side" of the staple being on the outside, not as shown in staple pic 1, but as indicated on staple pic 2 to reduce the chance of the staple starting the paper on fire. NOTE / WARNING if using this staple method, account for all staples before consuming / serving food. In old reviews I saw where one customer talked about secondary bowl handle cover melting. Apparently that has been redesigned as my bowl's secondary handle is the same plastic as the primary handle. Bowl fits in my dish washer just fine top and bottom shelf. The fins on the fan give me the impression that it moves air up the core / center, across the heating element, and hot air down the walls of the bowl. The heating element does not appear to be metal like in my home oven. The heating element is contained within a glass envelope and appears to be a spiral ribbon of unknown material (perhaps quartz) within the glass element. The heating element cycles on and off during the cooking process. [A quartz heating element uses electricity to heat a quartz tube, which then emits infrared radiation to warm nearby objects. Quartz heating elements are a type of radiant heater, which means they heat objects directly through infrared waves.] . Unit operates very quietly, slightly louder than my refrigerator. Unit does blow hot / warm air out the back about mid way up. I can comfortably hold my hand in this air stream at about 4 - 5 inches away from the unit. Being able to view food as it cooks is a great feature. While cooking hamburger patty in butter I did not notice any smoke whatsoever.

I’ve been using the Nutrichef 5.8 Quart Air Fryer for a few months now, and it’s become a go-to in my kitchen. The size is perfect for our big family—it holds a decent amount of food without taking up too much counter space. I love the 8-in-1 presets, especially for things like fries, chicken, and reheating leftovers (they come out so much better than in the microwave!). The basket is glass and easy to clean, which is a huge win. It heats up quickly and cooks evenly—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I’ve even used it for small batches of homemade chicken nuggets from our home-raised meat birds, and they turn out fantastic. If you're trying to simplify meals without sacrificing quality, this air fryer is definitely worth it!

The glass basket is quite heavy but glass should be a healthier alternative and those non-stick surfaces, the description says this thing is quiet and it is extremely quiet, you barely notice it's on which is kind of surprising. The highest temperature you get is about $390° and sometimes I wonder if it even hits that as I notice it takes a bit longer to cook things in this particular air fryer so you might want to expect to cook something and have a take just a few extra minutes, no big deal, now the controls are wonky, the manual doesn't tell you what any other presets are, and you got to press a whole sequence of unnecessary buttons just to change the temperature and the time if you're not using a preset and setting it manually, it's a bit confusing at first and takes a few minutes to get used to. This air fryer seems to be built very well, this product seems to be made very well, when you push the buttons on the top of the product they all respond instantly. It's overall pretty easy to clean if you look past the weight of the basket, I bet that basket weighs a good five to seven pounds so if you're holding that with one hand over the sink or something while washing it that's a little bit of a pain but I think most people will get used to that pretty quick If the controls weren't overly complicated I probably would have gave this five stars but it does work for a while and seems like an overall really good value for the money, give you plenty of room to cook some ground beef, pork chops, French fries, tater tots, you would probably fit a steak in there as well as long as it wasn't super huge, the inside of the basket is roughly 8 in by 8 in. Overall it's just a great air fryer with frustrating controls but I still really like it

We love it! We didn’t have an air before because of their harmful materials, but we finally found this one with a glass container. We’ve used it for a few weeks now, and so far so good. We are in love with it. It works well and cooks greatly!

Love it, highly recommend, glass air fryer with stainless steel trivet for cooking. The trivet cleans up fairly easily with a dish cloth but not so easily with a brush. It does have a manual mode which goes up to 390f. The only downside is the instructions are limited although you really don’t need them for the most part. The container is a little on the small side. I also find it doesn’t make your whole house smell like your food. Previous air fryers I’ve had can make the entire house smell.
