Quality product. Compact, sleek design. Great battery life. Multiple brightness levels to choose from on the flashlight mode. Does retain some heat at the higher brightness levels when ran for longer durations, but overall it's a great EDC flashlight. Laser and UV light are nice bonus features.

Five stars because it delivers what it promises. I would not give this 5 stars as a tactical solution. It's more like another slick gadget people carry as a form of functional jewelry. This is a pretty cool little light. It has some heft in the hand and seems pretty sturdy. I like the aesthetic, and it is neat that it comes with a laser and UV light. This is what sold me on it over the competitors. After having it, however, there are some things that bug me. I am going to keep it, because I like it, but I may replace it with another for tactical use. The controls are a wheel and a center button, with ability to change and combine modes. In itself this is innovative and pretty cool, however, in a light this size for tactical use it is more intuitive for the switch to be on the tail cap opposite the light, so that when holding it in the fist in a dagger grip at eye level you can manipulate the switch with your thumb and still have a good grip on the light. This light seems designed more for a traditional old-school flashlight grip held lying in the hand in front at waist height. The switch is not on the tail cap because this area is for the magnetic charging connection. This is again innovative and cool, but unfortunately there does not seem to be a way to charge it without using the special cable. There is no USB port on the light, only the magnetic charging apparatus. I am not sure if it charges on a MagSafe pad. The only indication you get that it's charging is the light on the magnetic charging cable. So don't lose or break that cable or you're SOL! In fact, writing this review prompted me to see if they even sell replacement cables, which they do for about $10 on the Olight website and about $15 on Amazon. The magnetic base seems like it will be handy in certain situations, and the magnet is strong enough to hold the weight of the flashlight. Just don't get it close to your compass or other things where magnetic fields are an issue. In all, it's a cool light for EDC with some style and unique features, but not necessarily a good option for tactical use. The UV and laser are neat toys, but I'm not exactly sure what use they would have other than cat ops or Halloween duty. I guess UV might be useful to anyone looking for blood or small white objects. White really stands out under UV.

I use this mainly for tracing lines in pipe racks and pointing out equipment to coworkers. The flashlight is great and has lots of different power levels to optimize battery consumption. The black light is more of a neat trick for my use but does function as intended. The flashlight itself is pretty weighty and feels good in the hand. The button and selector are easy to use. The texturing on the side helps add grip. I’m not entirely sure how the design was applied, but the body is smooth all over. So far there are no scratches to the finish. The clip is sturdy and offers good tension, while its design lets it to slip easily in and out of pockets. I charged it once upon delivery (a few weeks ago) and it still shows full on the indicator. I like the internal rechargeable battery and the magnetic charging cable. Overall this is a great EDC or work flashlight.

Before receiving the Arkfeld Pro I was excited to experience what appeared to be an excellent flashlight. Upon unboxing, my anticipation was confirmed and my EDC has proven, not only how good a flashlight the Arkfeld Pro is, but how important it is to always have a flashlight. OLIGHT took their time to deliberately make a good quality flashlight. I gave as gifts to 3 family members and will be buying a second for myself. Highly suggested. Take Aways: - The magnetic charging mechanics are intuitive and seamless. Easily connecting and immediately seating properly. Though, a USB C connector would be nice, it isn't required due to the battery life. - The selector switch is very intuitive and doesn't easily get moved in pocket. Though it does happen from time to time. - First interaction with changing light settings seemed odd, but once familiar it is quite smooth. Hold for light power cycling, triple tap for super light. It just takes a little experimenting to be smooth with changing light power settings. - The battery life is impressive. I use it daily for short durations on medium and I haven't had to charge for roughly a month. - The UV setting is truly amazing for cleaning. When I first received it, playing around, it forced me to immediately clean my stove top. I also found this setting to be perfect for locating and thoroughly cleaning pet stains on carpet. It causes the accident area to glow a faint neon allowing you to ensure complete cleaning. - The laser is a properly working laser. The light/laser feature is really nice. Though I have not had a need for it practically. If your use case is identifying objects from distance, in low-light situations, this is the tool. The light cast is soft ambience and does not overpower the laser. Providing just enough accessory light to emphasize upon the laser's point. - The belt clip is stout, rigid metal and does not bend easily. It has nice clip pressure for grip retention and seems to be spring steel(?). - The coating and finish seems durable but does take wear from keys, etc. Albeit this only gives it a cool look and makes it appear well aged and overly used. The time frame for this topical wear is delayed and after 3 months of daily carry, with car keys, has only shown minute indentation of aluminum housing. Foot Notes: - I have noticed that the form factor is not intuitive with firearms. If you need a light to work alongside a firearm in a two hand hold, though capable, this light is not ideal. The button location needs to be on the tail and the rectangular form doesn't seat like a cylindrical light does. Turning on the light and transitioning into a two hand hold isn't practical in a threat scenario. But this isn't a negative to the light, but an observation of usage.
