So, I installed this lock February '24 (it's now January '25), and like most people, since the product worked well, I didn't think to leave a review. That's totally my bad, because this lock deserves one! The reason I am leaving one now is because I have had this lock installed a little under one year, and have only recently had my first issue. The lock is still functioning, but I noticed I was needing to change the AA++ batteries out much sooner that I had before. This is easy to do, so I wasn't super worried about it at first, but then the cost of batteries started to add up quickly, so I emailed customer service at Onnais about this, and within 24 hours, the person I dealt with, Rachel, emailed me back and was absolutely AMAZING! They got me a new lock, which tbh, I didn't really even expect that as an option considering it had been almost a year that I had it, but that speaks volumes to their customer service! So, even though I haven't installed it yet, I just had to go back and review my original purchase, because this company deserves ALL the kudos. As far as the lock goes, I've used the key and touchpad without any issues whatsoever, and I use the key fob daily. I've gotten the key fob to work when I'm sitting in my vehicle in front of my fifth wheel RV, so the range is good! I also love the feature that you can enter a code with random numbers into the touchpad, and as long as your actual code is somewhere in that random number, you can still get in. As a woman doing solo RVing, this feature is great for safety! If you're looking at getting a lock for your RV, I highly suggest this one. I'm an RV tech by trade, and see a wide variety of locks in the field. This one is definitely one of the best out there. It's metal, and very solidly made. Mine has been through Texas heat, and Colorado cold, and worked fine in both. This lock is also much more secure than the lock that comes on your RV stock, and if you do by chance have some issue with it, I can stand by their customer service as being top notch! I know there are a few different options out there for aftermarket locks, I am SO SO GLAD I went with this one! Happy camping! xx

I wasn't necessarily looking for a remote controlled keyed entry lock for my camper, but liked the idea, so bought this one and was very pleased. The package is nice, the instructions are clear, it was a very simple installation. My only two complaints are very minor, and not really complaining, just a "see no use" and "would be nice" but there is this little lock that allows you to lock your door from the outside, which does no good since anyone can just turn it to unlock it. Not sure what the designer was thinking as I read some reviews that said it is good to lock the door when you travel, but I am 100% locking the deadbolt when I travel, not depending on this little door lock latch while I am driving down the road. The good news is that it doesn't lock you inside the camper, but is practically worthless. I have seen the newer models don't have this, so they have realized it is a worthless component. It comes with two remotes, both seem to be heavy duty, but the numbers for your security code cannot contain a 9 or a 0. It took my wife and I three tries to both agree on a code that did not include either of those two numbers as they only go from 1 to 8, so only a slight inconvenience. I have noticed that the newer model does have all ten numbers from 0 to 9, so they have figured it out. The question you should ask yourself, is worth another $20 to $30 extra to buy the newer model to have the ability to use a 0 or a 9 on your security code and/or not have a worthless door latch lock? My answer would be that I don't think it is worth the extra money, as this one works awesome for our needs. Would fully recommend this unit.

Happy with this lock but one complaint which isn’t necessarily the locks fault. It sticks out further on the outside of the door versus the factory lock. My RV uses a magnet to stay open and sits flush against the side of the RV when open. This lock would not allow it to latch and I had to buy a magnet extension. Other than that, functions great and looks good. Installation was quick and easy. Took about 30-35 minutes.

The physical installation was easy, I would recommend getting yourself a lovely assistant to hold the two halves to the door while you start the mounting screws. The product seems well made/sturdy, I've only had it in a week but if I encounter an issue I will come back and update review. The product has made accessing the camper while carrying groceries/gear much more convenient (it does the job I needed it to do, and does it very well). It uses conventional AA batteries (four) and the access panel is user-friendly. Dislike: The key fob programming instructions as printed were not the best, the YouTube video linked wasn't helpful for that part of the process either. The manufacturer website video was better, you have to kind of dig around the website to find the right video but it isn't too bad. It still took me a couple tries to get everything linked mainly because the lights behind the keypad buttons you are supposed to observe for color change are not exceptionally bright and I was installing/programming on a sunny afternoon so it was hard to see what was going on. The confirmation beeps are not very loud either- there were other campers in the site next door backing in their RV with some difficulty, it was hard to hear the lock set beeps over a diesel engine.. All said, the dislike was minor and resolved after a couple trial and error rounds and could have been avoided entirely had I done the job at home instead of out at camp. I have a Grand Design Imagine travel trailer and the lockset fit in perfectly without any modification/adjustment of any kind. My trailer door looks to be pretty much the same as every other brand made for probably the last 10-15 years, would probably be a pain if you've got a more vintage camper though. I'm happy with the purchase both in terms of cost and performance, I would recommend to anyone especially if you are a long-term camper.
