Well, it's finally happened. I've reached the point in life where I've fallen head over heels in love with a kitchen tool. Before you shake your head sadly and scroll on by, lamenting the loss of another middle-aged woman to the trappings of domesticity, allow me to reassure you that my passion is well founded. This is a sturdy, excellent tool that far exceeded my expectations in this grasping modern age of cheap construct for a quick buck. The plastic is smooth and sturdy and thick, not flimsy in any way. The little rubber feet on the container part of the kit actually do work to keep sliding to a minimum. The easily inserted/removed grating plates stay put but pop right out with almost no pressure. They are sharp and make clean cuts. The grated material actually stays in the container. This thing is a bloody miracle. It really works. I've had a few different sets that come with a container, but they cracked or grew brittle with use. Oxo products dont do that. I balked for a very long time at a $30 price tag on a grating set, but when I discovered that I had some unexpected cash back on a credit card, I applied it towards this set and it wound up only costing me five bucks out of pocket, so I went for it. It's totally worth the 30 bucks, people. If you cook and you rely on really good tools you can use and clean easily over and over again, Oxo does not disappoint. Theyre routinely at the highest price point, but their stuff is buy-once, last-forever quality, so you really can't blame them. You have to pay for stuff that lasts for 20 years, right? Great purchase, and I do not regret it. Highly recommended. And now I'll never need another grating set!

I purchased this set for the julienne and slicing surfaces, but having the additional cheese graters (and the handy container catching the mess) is definitely a bonus. The whole thing is very nice OXO quality. I've used the julienne (green) grater for zucchini, carrots and apples thus far and am amazed at how easily it slices through everything. The regular slicer has worked great for carrots and potatoes, as well, and again has wowed me with it's sharpness. My only warning is that this thing is REALLY SHARP. I neglected to use the "handle" lately and managed to julienne the tip of my thumb and hardly realized I had done it until there was blood everywhere! This set is still one of my favorite kitchen "toys" and I love that it stores easily and has washed perfectly in the dishwasher. All in all (minus the thumb tip, which was 100% my fault) this is a great product.

I've used this now once or twice, and there's lots to like about the design! First off, a warning: this isn't for grating large quantities of something. You'll probably want a different kitchen tool if you need more than a cup to 1 1/2 cups of something. That's because the actual grating surface isn't that long, so you'll be doing more shorter passes for the same amount of grated material. But it comes with a useful selection of grids, including a mandoline-type slicing plate. Also comes with a "handle" to use so you're less likely to grate your fingers in the process, and to make it easier to grate certain types of food. I love grating into an enclosed container, much less mess that way. And lots of thought was clearly given to the design for how everything fits together and stores neatly. A+ grade for that! The only things I would add is that a cleaning tool would have been a nice addition, since the grids and the "handle" are tricky to get clean. Also, maybe some markings to make it more clear which way the grating plates go when getting ready to do some grating. That part's not as clear as it might be, although I did figure it out eventually. But overall, I'm glad I got this.

I like the Grate & Slice set and would recommend it. However, this is review is more about Amazon and the fact that their ability to send what is actually ordered has significantly declined. I am so disappointed because I ordered the OXO Good Grips COMPLETE Grate & Slice Set, but the one I received did not include the Julien plate. Unfortunately, the box was opened and discarded before the issue was noticed so it cannot be returned. Pay attention to what you order and what you receive. Clearly, this is an issue with Amazon rather than the product. Amazon is convenient, but I am at the point where I am going to look elsewhere for products even if I have to pay more.

I needed a cheese grater so I took to a graters review on google to help in my decision. This was listed as a top pick. I like how it comes with storage and the lid can be used to hold whatever you're grating/slicing up. It's very convenient. You want convenience when you're in the kitchen working against the clock. It comes with four different graters/slicers. They are all easy to handle and can actually fit horizontally on the storage lid when in use. The different surfaces are color coded and the whole set is easy to clean. So far, I've only used the large (coarse) grater surface for cheese. It took me a minute to get my bearings but afterwards, it made grating cheese an easy feat. It even has measurements on the lid so you can see how much you have grated. I like it!! I can't wait to use the other surfaces in my kitchen endeavors. I consider this a good buy and definitely recommend it if you're on the fence.

Needed to julienne heaps of veggies, and I used this exact item at a friend's home. When I mentioned how much I like this, I was gifted OXO Good Grips Spiralize Grate & Slice Set but - oops, no julienne blade in that set! And thought that this julienne set was discontinued. So bought, OXO Good Grips V-Blade Mandoline Slicer, White (1155700) - it was difficult and dangerous-ish to set up and my set blade was misaligned. Returned it. Found this set online. Purchased this because it's solidly-made and idiot proof. The container it comes with is a bonus to keep the blades together, and to serve as a bowl for grating into. Happy Julienne-ing with this.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Reiben- und Gurkenhobelset, welches man für kleinere Arbeiten verwenden kann; wenn man nicht die Küchenmaschine oder den Nicer Dicer für eine Kleinigkeit benutzen und spülen will. Bei diesem Set bin ich fündig geworden. Es ist hochwertig verarbeitet, die einzelnen Einsätze können zusammen mit dem Resthalter in einer Box verstaut werden. Das Ganze ist dann recht platzsparend und alles ist ordentlich verstaut. Der Deckel der Box läßt sich als Auffangbehälter benutzen. Erfreulicherweise ist der Kunststoff bpa frei. Ich kann den Artikel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!
