This is the best chalk I’ve tried for quilt marking. Produces a fine, clean line. It is very fragile and you must handle it lightly. It arrived all intact with no broken pieces. I expect I will eventually break a piece, but I’ve marked several quilt tops without incident. Advice: Rotate the points of chalk as you mark to ensure they wear down evenly and the triangular shape is retained.

Good chalk, very vibrant on fabric and different colors makes it easy to work with different colors of fabric, brittle but that’s how chalk is.

These are great I’ve tested many kinds some brands you have to draw a line so hard to get it to show up BUT NOT THESE THEY ARE EASY TO USE and give clear markings they are easy to break so don’t hold them too rough or slam them down on your work station or drop them because it will break but I’m ok with that

Some pieces came broken but that was fine. I found them easier to use when they are in half pieces. I think the only thing I did not care for is the draw line is not real thin but that is just my personal perf. Other than that these work very well. The color variety is great for the different shades of fabric I use. Like the little case to keep the chalk organized.

I used this, erasable pens by pilot, a more expensive tailors chalk, and two types of fabric pencils on a light tan fabric while making a shirt. The Erasable pens didn't transfer well but came out without a hassle, the other chalk was too light to see, one of the pencils didn't agree with soft fabric and the other stained my button hole blue. Despite how easy these things are to accidentally wipe off or transfer to other fabric, and it's tendency to break or chip of you look at it wrong this is by far the best fabric tracing tool I've tried yet

Not so solid. Brakes very easily

I sew, and colored chalks are my favorite tool for marking cutting lines and anything else I need to mark on my fabric. These are the perfect size and shape, thin rounded-triangles that can be easily handled and won't take much to take an edge even once I get toward the middle of the shapes. The chalks come in four different colors, so you can always find the best one to stand out against the fabric you're marking. I've tested these on some of the fabrics I have lying around, and the markings come off easily when I wipe them with a damp cloth. One thing that really impresses me with this brand over others I've used before is that the chalks come securely packaged in a sturdy plastic container that will keep them from knocking against one another until I wear them down. I expect to get a lot of use out of these chalks!

Best chalk I’ve used. Love the case to protect it, edges are sharp, great for material marking, no need to press much so fabric doesn’t pull when drawing lines on quilt squares. Highly recommend this product to every quilter. Plus no need to deal with dried out marking pens!

These 'chalks' are perfect for dressmaking. However, the thinness, so good for accurate markings, also make for an easily broken chalk. Box is excellent in protecting from breakage.

Cheap quality.

These are great for my sewing needs and washes out easily. However don’t drop them as they are thin and break easily! My work station gets crowded and sometimes the chalk falls to the floor so now I am making sure to place the chalk in a secure location after use lol

Works okay. Breaks apart easily but can still be used.

Arrived promptly and well packed. Exactly as described. Very convenient variety of colours and in its own little case. I didn't have the same problem as some have stated, as my pieces were all nice and neat, not broken off. However, I can see how they might break during transport, as there is a little foam piece placed inside the case, at the top, to protect them, but makes the fit very tight. Once you receive them, you don't need to foam piece. As long as yours doesn't get badly tossed around on its way to you, they'll be fine. Overall I think this is a good value.
